I have the same problem on my GMC canyon. Check the wiring harness plug where it goes into the blower fan motor under the dash. The contacts are probably coroaded between the two plugs.

The heat I my truck only works at highest setting 32 I can control everything else fan control. if I lower the heat to a lower setting only cold ar coms out

Sounds like it's time for a new controller. But before you spend money on one, pull it out unplug it and plug it back in. Could be a bad connection. Since it works, kind of. it's not a fuse.

2001 GMC Sierra 1500 fan is only working on 4 & 5 & the heater control is working intermittently.

The resistor is probably right next to the blower. Recommend you access the blend door to see why it is binding. There are procedures at the link below.

My 03 galant has an electrical issue. My heater and air conditioner work just fine but the fans stopped working. What could be my problem

if the fan still works on highest setting only the fan speed resistor block is faulty.
if the fan doesnt work on highest setting check for power at fan while on highest setting with globe test light, as well as checking fuse for fan. 2 wires one power other is earth. if power is there the fan motor needs replacing so long as the earth wire is also ok check with voltmeter on Ohms for continuity should be a couple of Ohms any higher is no good.

Hi, two things so far, heat/air only comes on if it is at level 5, highest, no low fan speeds at all, also , no lights on radio/and temp control (of outside temp) is it a fixable prob, or are the...

As far as the blower motor fan speeds, the blower motor resistor is the culprit for that, and as far as the LCD display lighting, that is out for good unless you care to replace the very expensive component. But at least you can now have the capability to adjust your fan speeds.

My fan heater only works on the highest setting 6

Hi. This will be the result of a failed resistor switch. the switch controls the current level sent to the blower motor. Once replaced, the motor will operate at your desired rate. This switch is an integrated part of the AC/Heater control cluster, that is mounted in your dash. You will need to remove the trim, and cluster assembly to expose the damaged switch.

2004 elantra heater control only operates at #4 setting

If # 4 is the highest fan setting it might be the resistor pack that controls the fan speeds. For each speed increase the fan switch takes a resistor out of the resistor loop The highest speed is a direct connection to the battery. The switch is usually located very close to the fan since it gets quite hot and needs to be cooled by the fan.It is also generaly accessible from under the hood, but not always.Sometimes it is under the dash Hope this helps.
