Hello, this vehicle has a locking device to keep the spare tire from falling down. you will have to perform these steps to remove spare tire.

  • Turn the folding wrench clockwise to raise the jack until it lifts the secondary latch device under the wheel plate.
  • Keep raising the jack until the compact spare tire stops moving upward and is held firmly in place. This lets you know that the secondary latch has released.
  • Lower the jack by turning the folding wrench counterclockwise. Keep lowering the jack until the compact spare tire is resting on the folding wrench

SOURCE: How to remove the spare tire on 2001 Chevy Blazer

if the vehicles spare is located under the rear cargo area then there may be a hole located in the rear bumper next to the license plate. if the vehicle is equipped like that then there should be a few straight bars that attach together to form a long bar. this bar is then inserted into this hole and mated with a joint witch is connected to a pully system that raises and lowers the tire. if this didnt make any sense or if it is totally wrong then you could consult the owners manual. all of the necessary procedures are in that book.

If the tire does not lower with the jack parts from the access door then you will have to put the jack up under the presseurerelease in the middle of the tire till it releases.

After you open the rear hatch look on the sill of the frame on the right hand side of the truck. You must insert the Jack crank into the hole and turn it counter clockwise to release the holder and the tire will tilt down from underneath. If it does not release then you may have to pull it down as the mechanism has been known to seize. After you open the rear hatch look on the sill of the frame on the right hand side of the truck. Instructions on changing front brakes on a 1993 delta88 oldsmobile 1993

    Instructions
      • 1Loosen the lugs nuts using the tire iron. Place the wood blocks in front of the tires you will not be removing.
      • 2 Raise the vehicle using the floor jack. Set the jack beneath the support strut that runs along the outer edge of the undercarriage. Raise it enough to allow the tires to clear the ground. Place the jack stands underneath the same strut as the jack.
      • 3 Remove the lugs nuts completely and take the tire off. Set these all aside.
      • 4 Remove the mounting bracket bolts with a socket wrench. The mounting bracket is the metal half-circle that is revealed when you remove the tire. Tie the mounting bracket to the undercarriage with rope to prevent stress damage to the brake line.
      • 5 Remove the brake pads from the bracket by hand.
      • 6 Compress the caliper cylinder with the C-clamp. The caliper cylinder is the 3- to 6-inch wide cylinder in the center of the bracket. Make sure that it is flush with the bracket.
      • 7 Install the new brake pads where the old ones were.
      • 8 Reattach the mounting bracket to the rotor. Reattach the tire and finger-tighten the lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and the tighten all of the nuts with the tire iron.

Load clunk from under my 2003 Jeep Wrangler when going over bumps

You need to get the vehicle up on a hoist. It can be any number of things like a broken muffler mount, gas tank strap, undercarriage spare tire, and even a loose rear bumper. Shock absorbers could be worn out, a broken leaf on a spring, etc.

These are just some of the things possible.

I have a 1993 Lumina Van that has a flat tire. I don't know how to get the spare tire down from under the car. I don't have anything that looks like a wrench

where your jack and lug wrench is located.. you should also have a long rod that is part of the jack assembly .. on your rear bumper look for a small hole. the rod gets inserted into that small hole and you turn left continuosly and the tire will start to drop slowly from the undercarriage of the vehicle.

Cannot get spare to release from undercarriage, cable is loosened & plastic wng nut turns however spare will not come off

Will have to go underneath and release manually the safty catch. Its a forked looking object at the top of the cable system. The factory release just rusts and falls off. not allowing the safty to disengage when you need the tire.

Where is the spare tire located on a 1995 ford aerostar?

Section 00-02: Lifting, Jacking and Spare Tire Stowage 1995 Aerostar, Ranger, Explorer Workshop Manual
TIRE STOWAGE Tire, Spare, Removal, Aerostar If the Aerostar is a standard length vehicle the spare tire is mounted inside to a carrier at the left rear quarter panel. To remove the spare tire, remove the wing nut and plate. A flat tire can be temporarily stowed in the same location.

If the Aerostar is the bus with a standard length body or extended length (all models), the temporary spare tire is stowed at the rear of the vehicle under the body. The Aerostar standard length E-4WD bus spare tire is mounted on the floor.

I can't get the spare tire out of the rack? 2004 yukon

  • Rotate the hoist shaft counterclockwise in order to lower the spare tire to the ground. Continue to rotate the shaft until the spare tire can be pulled out from under the vehicle and removed. If the spare tire does not lower to the ground, the secondary latch is engaged causing the tire not to lower.
  • If the secondary latch is engaged and the cable end is visible, perform the following procedure: 3.1. Tighten the cable by rotating the hoist shaft clockwise until you hear 2 clicks or feel it skip twice. You cannot overtighten the cable. 3.2. Loosen the cable by rotating the hoist shaft counterclockwise 3 or 4 turns. 3.3. If the spare tire can be lowered, repeat steps 1 and 2 to see if the spare tire can be removed. 3.4. If the spare tire cannot be lowered, rotate the hoist shaft counterclockwise until approximately 15 cm (6 in) of cable is exposed. 3.5. Raise and support the vehicle. 3.6. Place a transmission jack, or equivalent, under the spare tire. 3.7. Position the center of the transmission jack under the secondary latch release button at the center of the spare tire. Arrange the arms of the transmission jack so they will support the tire after it has been released. 3.8. Raise the jack until the spare tire stops moving upward and is firmly held in place, releasing the secondary latch. 3.9. Lower the tire. If the spare tire is hanging by the cable, rotate the hoist shaft counterclockwise until the tire is low enough to remove.
