No oil pressure on my 2009 Yukon
You need to be careful here. If you are driving your Vehicle with ZERO PRESSURE, you are going to blow up your engine. There is also one of 2 other scenero's for a GM VehicleFIRST: Instrument Cluster STEPPER MOTORS are KNOWN to be going BAD in GM's/. If the Stepper Motor is bad, make sure you replace it with a X27.168SECOND. Your Sending Unit could have come unplugged or the Unit itself went bad.I am Betting that your Stepper Motor went bad (Happens that Frequently). I would put a Gauge on the Motor and see what the Oil Pressure Actually is, if it is Truly ZERO... do not start or Drive the vehicle and take it to a Good Mechanic or if still under warranty.. To the DEALER
I can't get the spare tire out of the rack? 2004
Rotate the hoist shaft counterclockwise in order to lower the spare
tire to the ground. Continue to rotate the shaft until the spare tire
can be pulled out from under the vehicle and removed. If the spare tire
does not lower to the ground, the secondary latch is engaged causing
the tire not to lower.
If the secondary latch is engaged and the cable end is visible, perform the following procedure:
3.1.
Tighten
the cable by rotating the hoist shaft clockwise until you hear 2 clicks
or feel it skip twice. You cannot overtighten the cable.
3.2.
Loosen the cable by rotating the hoist shaft counterclockwise 3 or 4 turns.
3.3.
If the spare tire can be lowered, repeat steps 1 and 2 to see if the spare tire can be removed.
3.4.
If
the spare tire cannot be lowered, rotate the hoist shaft
counterclockwise until approximately 15 cm (6 in) of cable is exposed.
3.5.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3.6.
Place a transmission jack, or equivalent, under the spare tire.
3.7.
Position
the center of the transmission jack under the secondary latch release
button at the center of the spare tire. Arrange the arms of the
transmission jack so they will support the tire after it has been
released.
3.8.
Raise the jack until the spare tire stops moving upward and is firmly held in place, releasing the secondary latch.
3.9.
Lower
the tire. If the spare tire is hanging by the cable, rotate the hoist
shaft counterclockwise until the tire is low enough to remove.
Yukon 2009 low engine oil pressure in the meter
First off I believe you are using the incorrect weight oil. I am pretty sure you should be using 5w20 instead of 10w30. Check your owner's manual to be sure. At idle the oil pressure would be around 1/4 on the gauge and at highway speed it should read about 1/2. Make sure you are using a quality filter such as AC/Delco, Wix, or Purolator. If the oil pressure seems low is this vehicle not under warranty? If so, take it back to the dealer.
Water entered inside the gerabox after aflood
The oil needs to be drained from the gear box. If there is water in the transmission, you should probably change the oil in the front and rear axles and the transfer case. If the oil looks like a "milkshake"there is water in it. You will get most the water out in the first oil change, but drive it for a while after the first change and then change it again to get as much out as you can. You can do a ton of damage by driving a vehicle around like this, so don't put it off.
