In 1997, the Corolla was available as a Base model, a CE, or a DX. The Base and CE both had a 1.6L 5-speed drivetrain, and the DX had a 1.8L 5-speed. Hope this helps you determine which one you have.

If the vehicle is vibrating sitting still its something probably in the motor shaking,if its doing it while moving it could be just a low tire or bad tire or wheel ? send me some more information and i`ll try to help you out if i can, I`m (BILL)

Without cutting, the front doors will take a 4" speaker.

It will, but if you have an active fault the light will come back on.

Check the spark plug. My truck did the same thing and it was because the spark plug had completely been removed.

Changing the trans fluid won't fix any problems,just gives you new fluid & most likely cause slipping,if not already doing so

It could be due to a belt loose or some pulley and once the bearing heats up the squeeling stops.

Could be a cylinder miss, or a weak motor mount among other things.

Are you saying you can not get the shifter out of park, or you don't have drive and reverse ?

You might pull back the carpet on that side and see of the floor plug might be dislodged.

coolant level is good ,check oil level.

the pull could be in the tires down to the alignment. the tapping sound youd be best suited to see a mechanic. I could go through a list of things that could make noise, but unless I personally saw the car they would just be guesses. you could give more info on the noise and ill try getting you close to the problem.

It's most likely a bad fuse. Locate your fuse box and on the inside of fuse box door should be a diagram locate that one pull it and take a look at it. In the middle of the fuse there is a link if it's broken it's bad. Make sure you replace with same fuse. If the fuse blows again you most likely have a short some where.

Hi,It could be a couple of options. Maybe the battery has died and needsto be replaced. Maybe the charging sytem connections need to be cleaned. Maybe one of the charging sytem connections is broken and needs a replacement. Could be the ignition switch is broken or perhaps a broken starter motor solenoid (if a click is heard).I would suggest calling the car repair shop and having them check out the situation.
