Does someone knows the # or location of radiator fan fuse of a '97 corolla?
I don't think it has one. Mine would fail due to the thermo switch in the base of the radiator. It has two heavy wires coming from it. Touch them together and see if the fan runs. If it does, replace that- if not see if it is getting power to one of the wires.(key on). If not- track the wire that does not go to the fan and see where the power should be coming from. You might try tracing the ground wire to the fan also.

What does the check engine light mean?
- A check engine light means a sensor in the car malfunctioned and sent an error to the cars computer and in turn that light came on. So now you have to get the codes pulled and then write them down and the codes themselves will tell you what caused the light and how to go about fixing the car so the light stays away. You can get the codes read for free at your local major parts store. This can be something minor, a glitch or something more major going on but until you pull the codes you will not know.
- If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
- Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.
Regards,
Tony

Oil leak in front of engine around the
Its either the valve cover gasket or the o ring that seals the distributor. It could be coming from either, so look for oil on the valve cover abovethe distributor. If you see oil there its the valve cover. If you dont see oil coming from the valve cover above the distributor, then look or touchthe bottom of the distributor and if there is oil there then the distributor oring iswhats leaking.

Hi There I have a Toyota Sprinter AE-110 1997
I would not spend that kind of money on spark plugs
Just install double platinum
Do not install Bosch with the silly 4 prongs etc
they won't work in some motors
Stay with the OE electrode shape
Spark plugs will make no difference what so ever
as to upgrading to Iridium

I cannot locate the drain
Hi Geoffrey,
Corolla '97 manual transmission using bolt 10mm ( hex) as filler plug and bolt 24 mm ( shallow socket) as drain plug transmission oil. Both bolts located on engine side ( and are not on top or bottom of your engine).
They just located on engine behind your radiator and beside your battery ( lower side). It is easier to acess them from bottom of engine. Their are on your gearbox.
Regards

Was driving home and heard
Hello
Is the car sitting low or does it drive like something is broken? The best thing to do here is take the car to a tire shop like Big O, they will put the car on a lift and inspect the undercarriage and all suspension components to see what is broken or come loose, the inspection is likely to be free. Do not drive this very far or very fast until you know what the noise was and what broke.

I have a 1997 Corolla, manual trans. Great little
Sounds like you have gotten alot of good miles out of this car, if it still has value to you, it is time to replace the clutch and all of the hydraulics. If a problem is coming from one part of the system, the rest are probably too worn to keep.
P.S. I drive a 1995 Ford with 260,000+ miles, repairs are cheaper than car payments! Buy a good repair manual and invite some friends over, even if you have to feed them!

I put the keys in ignition, but switch wont turn
Sometimes the cause of this is the steering wheel is turned to the left or right when you shut the engine off and it holds pressure against the steering lock mechanism. Try turning the steering wheel hard to the left or right while trying to turn the key and see if that solves your problem.

Red lamp "battery not charging"
There could be a couple of problems here. First, is the Belt broken or loose. Tighten or change it. If not that then check for loose or corroded connctions. Clean these up.
