Sounds like a dodgy central locking motor, I would first though
get some wd40 and spray all the locks and inside the mechanisims, they sometimes get stiff in cold weather and when they lock they dont go all the way to the lock position leaving them half way either way, hence the doors lock and unlock. It may be the motor itself but try this first as it will save you a few quid.

You'll need a new door latch.

Each Door switch works on the principle of OFF when the circuit is closed (the opposite to how a household light switch works, i.e OFF when the circuit is open). The door switch contacts become corroded with the passing of time and therefore don't make a closed circuit when the door(s) are closed consequently fooling the central locking system to believe that a door is open.

First thing to do is identify which door switch is not working or working intermittently. Open each door in turn and push the door switch in with your finger (located on the pillar of the body). If it's an intermittent fault then hold it there for 30 seconds wiggling the button switch slightly to establish a contact. If that doesn't identify the faulty switch then remove each one in turn and check with a meter for continuity - continuity will occur with the switch pushed in, if no continuity then you've found your faulty switch. You can repair these switches with a little patience, or pick-up a replacement from a scrapyard for less than a pound. Tip - before disconnecting the cable from the switch, tie a long piece of string onto the cable to prevent it from disappearing into the body of the car.

Your not going to like this but it sounds like you have a problem with your ECM, Electronic Control Module. This is not something you will be able to repair unless you have a detailed work station to remove the Sealing compound that surrounds the modules control board.

I only saw question now. I've been through the same with my Renault Megane Hatch 2004. 1 card key unlocked but could not start the car; spare key said card not recognised. Renault said I needed new key cards as they don't last forever & they will need to be replaced from time to time. Ordered new key. They said would take 3 weeks to arrive but came in 2. Then needed to be encoded. Was very expensive

take off the small front grill on the left hand side and use a 13mm ring spanner to take the nut off replace the horn and the grill all done ten min job

Hi i think the problem is one of the coils ( very common on renaults ).
The shaking is the engine missfiring.
Because of the missfiring the emissions are not correct which brings on the engine light.
If you are able to get a diagnosis ( code reader ) done on the car it will tell you which coil is gone

how do you know it has no fuel

2005 RENAULT what else do you expect these cars are very good but renoun for their fancy dealer only electrics ,as its a 2005 then its dealer only to sort it out as the OBDII can only be accessed by the dealer via the internet with the authorised mechanic entering his fingerprint onto computer pad thing for the factory to recognise it .And no doubt they will want to fit a new ECU unit which with labour will set you back about 1500 euros ,

If the can belt broke then damage is almost inevitable - it just depends how bad the damage is.

You should have a spare key without a card, it just looks like an L shape simple straight key, on either passenger or driver side door there will be a key sign on one of the handle caps, or a small rectangular whole underneath one of the caps, remove the cap and you will see a normal lock enter that spare key and you are all happy days.

just go thru your trip computer .. one of the selections is to reset oil change light .. do that the same way you reset a trip odometer .. push the button .. on some if you hold the button for a while then it will reset other things ..
