2001 Hyundai Elantra - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Having problems filling the fuel tank on my 2001 hyundai elantra. Any solutions?
Common code you have there. My 2001 Elantra has kicked at least one if not both several times. The simplest trick is to get the cap tighter. Turn it till it clicks, then lean into it and see if you can get a few extra clicks. Ever since I've done this I haven't gotten these codes. Once you've done that, you can remove the battery cable for 30 minutes and then reinstall. The check engine light should be off then, but of course now you'll have to reset your clock and radio. This car is getting older, so it could very well be that something much larger is going wrong, so good luck and here's hoping!

How much is a wheel alinement for a 2001 Hyndai Elantra? & How bad is this ?
It depends on the pricing the shop you take it to charges. There is no "one set fee" for alignments. You can get a 2 wheel alignment, or a 4 wheels alignment. The alignment will also depend on how wore your tires are; how worn the front suspension is and if the car was in any type of accident, or if you've hit a curb all have to figure in.
Where is the fuel filter located on a 2001 Hyundai elantra
That fuel filter is in the fuel tank, attached to the fuel pump. Not a very difficult job. Remove the rear seat cushion, then remove the access panel to the pump. Remove the gas cap to relieve any pressure. Remove the ground wire and fuel lines, then remove the filter.
Does an elantra have an interference motor
Yes it does have an interference engine. If the problem is a broken timing belt, the odds are that since you were at speed when the problem occurred, you are looking, at a minimum, of cylinder head repair/replacement. There could also be piston damage.
01 elantra won't start no radio no dash lights new
Check in fuse box under hood and dash look for blown fuses and bad starter relays. Also check ground cable from battery this needs to have a good connection. Could be a bad positive cable connection to starter solenoid. Well there's a list of things to check. Hope this helped
