What type of antifreeze for a 2001

A 50/50 mix is a ideal. Antifreeze has two benefits when properly mixed. It protects the coolant from freezing down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit and it helps remove heat from the engine. Diluted coolant in the short term is not harmful. Long term it could lead to the accelerated corrosion of vital cooling system components. Anti freeze also offers lubrication to the water pump. Less concentration will equal less lubrication. If your son is adding water than there is a leak. Adding water until the leak is fixed is fine as long as the temps don't get below freezing and the problem is addressed as soon as possible. POWER DOOR LOCK RELAYS

Dear fellow Elantranians, I am an original owner of a 2002 Elantra (w/anti-theft module/ETACS), and have wrestled with the same problem for months: remote will unlock, but not lock doors. The answer to the problem, at least in my case, was a door lock relay (Part #95250-2D000) located behind the center dash, to the right and below the radio and heater/AC controls (removal and replacement reasonably easy). A simple removal of one bolt and a wire connector, and the little devil is exorcised. It's been working without a hitch for more than two weeks, and expect it to continue for eleven years as the original relay did. I purchased this relay from a local salvage yard for $14.00, but a Hyundai dealership (jimellishyundaiparts.com), will sell it to you for $36.00. Respectfully,Lucky Elantanian

Wherer is the thermostat on a hyundai elantra

There are at least 3 thermostats on your vehicle: One controls the electric cooling fan for the engine and its sensor is on the front radiator, the second is the passenger heating thermostat located under the dash board regulated by the switch on the dash board, The third is the thermostat housed in the cooling lines that opens at 180-190 degrees located on the top of the block water jacket where one of the heater hoses connects to its housing.
