Where can i find the diagnostic computer in a 1995 honda civic 1.5 lsi
the computer is located under the passenger floor carpet were you put your feet when sitting in the passenger seat by the firewall.you will have to pull up the carpet in this area and remove a cover to see the lights that will flash out the code that is in the computer if it has one, there is a proper sequence to pull the codes.otherwise if its an obd2 system the connector should be under the dash on the drivers side i believe.it will have 16 terminals on it that you connect the tool up to to see codes and data if you have the tool.

Look on the wiring harness it plugs in on top of the transmission
make sure all the wires are together. If every thing is ok with the wiring, The sensor is the only thing it could be. A gook used spedometer sensor from the junk yard will work this sensor dosent take a lot of abuse so a good used one will be cheap and work just fine. This is a job you can do your self and save a lot of money. I had the same problem with my 95 civic
My gear shift will not budge from park. It has
It is most likely due to your gearshift interlock. This is there to make sure that you have your foot on the brake before shifting out of park. ( It is a nice safety feature that keeps little kids from shifting the vehicle because they can't reach the brake and shift the car at the same time.) If you are stepping on the brake when you are trying to get it out of park and it still won't go, the most likely cause is a bad brake lamp switch or brake lamp fuse. Check your brake lights to see if they are working. If not, fix the brake lights and your shift problem will likely be solved. If the brake lamps are working, then the Shift Lock Solenoid could be defective.
