Upgrade Ubuntu Desktop to Server
You would need to reformat and create a fresh install. You cannot upgrade one from the other, because there are too many changes. I suggest that you backup all of your files and then reformat the computer and install the server version.

11.04 is the most stable and current version. You can upgrade from 7 to it with a thumb drive, and an installed program.Go to the Ubuntu Website and download 11.04 iso.Download and install UNetBootin.Insert your thumbdrive, format it.Open UNetBootin. Select "Disk Image" then locate the location of the 11.04 iso you downloaded. Then at the bottom, select your thumbdrive, and click OKThis will then get your thumbdrive bootable, and install 11.04 too it.Once that's done. Shut down your computer, boot from the thumbdrive, and follow the upgrade instructions.Best part, about "Upgrade". It'll 99% of the time keep your documents intact and just update the software.
Beryl on Ubuntu
Usually when the video of an app starts to mess up, that means either the video card you have in the computer isn't up to the standards for the app. Or your having RAM issues. You may need to install more ram so the app can actually work without flaws. Sure, linux is designed to take the best performance of what it has to work with. How do I access windows
Linux and Windows I'm sure you know are two totally separate platforms of Operating System's. Meaning their applications and programs are not cross compatible with one another.However. Ubuntu has over 33000 free programs that are just like Windows programs. They can read and access pdf's. avi's, wmv's and all the other things that you might need.Since the question isn't completely clarified here. I'm gonna say you can just download Ubuntu's versions of programs. Or... Install what they call a Virtual Machine and "emulate" a Windows system, download the windows programs, and run it like a standard MS System.

Running in low graphics (i accidently removed
Ubuntu is a smart program when it wants to be. Most of the time if you accidently remove a system driver all you have to do is just restart the machine. and usually it'll come backIf that fails, do a reinstall of the OS. It does give the option to install it and keep the media files, ie; pics, videos, music, and other documents. Those are the 2 easiest methods to fix that sort of problem

Ubuntu doesn't have a code. When you install it, you had to enter your own password. That's most likely what it's asking for.If you have forgotten your password. You can easily just reinsert the cd, reinstall it, then pick a password you can rememberThen once your in, you can make it auto log on. Where you don't have to enter your password to sign on.However, you will need to enter the password if you ever want to install, UN-install, or tweak the system settings.
