I did that too and the way I got it in was to burn the usb to a disc , then run the disc . the installer wizard took over and I had both win 7 and ubantu on the pc

This is an issue with Gmail, not Ubuntu. To delete all the messages in a Gmail inbox, click the Select button on the top left and choose All. Then click the link that says Select all xxxx comversation in Inbox followed by the trash can icon.

If right click "save image" didn't work, try this; use prntscrn button on your keyboard to take a screen shot, choose where to save the image then open with Gimp image editor and crop out the part you don't want, save it then upload to your timeline

Ubuntu already contains almost all drivers that are available for Linux, and your motherboard is fairly old and generic. You need to specify what component you need drivers for.

You will have two options either you can download the CD version or DVD version. Also you will have the case studis, online support and the documentation for installing Ubuntu.

/ is the root filesystem. Assign space for it and the installation will continue.

Assuming you have your windows 8.1 on disks, make sure your HP is set to boot from disk and put disk in and boot your computer up. The windows install should start and you can choose to delete Ubuntu and install windows. Remove any partitions that it displays and choose to install windows on the entire disk. After that just follow the prompts and windows will install.

First, make sure you have JDK 7 installed. Then,

1. Install alien with the command sudo apt-get install alien. This is used to convert RPM packages
2. Download the Oracle SQL Developer package if you have not done so already.
3. Run alien on the RPM package: alien -d package.rpm.
4. Install the package with the command sudo dpkg -i package.deb. If there is a message saying there is a dependency problem while installing it, you can fix it by running sudo apt-get -f install.

This happens with new distro upgrades sometimes. What you need to do is update from command line - sudo apt-get update and reboot and then do your system upgrade

You didn't say what the PC specs are and what you are running. Reinstall video drivers. If that won't help - check if your PC is overheating. If not - check if the application's or game is too heavy for your system.
