When getting directions from the 3600 GPS, I don't have a voice. Only messages on the screen, when to turn and how far. I checked and the sound is on all the way but still no voice.
How can I fix this problem and get "my" GPS voice back?

I have a problem with sound / voice in my PC. when i opening some of music it will open but i can't, hear it & sometimes when i fix it after 1 - 4 days the voice will going i don't now why it did that ?
how i can fix this problem please help me & thank you alot .
I had same problem a year ago while I was using it in the UK.
I think voice is contained in internal memory which was corrupted when battery went flat.
Problem was solved when I got home by doing a "hot sync".
If that does not work you will have to reinstall voice from your original disk

Hi, my 760 had the same problem, and a stutter when speaking street names. I fixed both by upgrading the software to v4.60 using the Garmin Webupdater.

I have a few Garmin 3600s with fried firmware but perfect screens. I've replaced batteries in quite a few of these units, and screen replacement is also definitely do-able by an amateur. I would be happy to sell anyone a Garmin 3600 for $25, including shipping.

Maybe you have turned the FM modle on, which means the sound can only comes out from your stereo system.

I just note my IQ3600 gps' instruction voice is not working. it was working beforfe. I am not sure is this a part of the stupid Garmin's new software and its royalty fee that Garmin want the user to pay for. My experience is don't buy another Garmin prodcut because it is stupid design, costly and slow. I think I will go for the Magellan.
