Forward drive in the C6 requires both the forward clutch AND the low/reverse, one-way clutch, or intermedaite band to engage. Since you have reverse but no forward, the forward clutch is most likely the problem, since it is needed only for forward speeds and does not affect reverse. Sounds like a trans rebuild.

Hello
The issue you're describing with your 2008 Sebring and its 62TE transmission not moving in drive positions but trying to go forward in reverse could be due to a few different things:
Transmission control module (TCM) failure: The TCM is responsible for controlling the shifting of the transmission. If it fails, it can cause the transmission to behave erratically.
Shift solenoid failure: The shift solenoids control the fluid flow to the clutch packs in the transmission. If a solenoid fails, it can cause the transmission to behave abnormally.
Low transmission fluid level: If the transmission fluid level is low, it can cause the transmission to shift erratically or not at all.
Wiring issues: If there is a problem with the wiring in the transmission control system, it can cause the transmission to behave abnormally.
To diagnose and repair the issue, it's recommended that you have the vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic with experience working on transmissions. They will be able to diagnose the problem and make the necessary repairs.
Have a nice day
Your reverse gear is damaged most likely need a transmission rebuild. I would recommend going to a good salvage yard. Do this go online look for used transmission with a warranty they are out there.
Sounds like the transmission is gone .Check the fluid level ,and sometimes the filters inside the transmission gets clogged up.have it checked by a qualified transmission mechanic.
Vehicle does not move forward.
The following parts and assemblies need to be checked thoroughly.
1. Manual valve
2. Valve body assembly
3. Forward clutch C1
4. Planetary gear unit
5. 1st and reverse brake (B3)
6. Park/ neutral position switch
