Fuel sending unit replacement 79 thunderbird, must you drop the tank?

Hi Gary , looking at a tank for your vehicle iwould say you would have to drop it to replace the sender unit unless there is an access panel under rear seat or in the trunk , before installing new sender connect up to the wiring and check the dash fuel gauge as you move the float up/down to make sure it works ok ,nothing worsr than tank back in and not reading on gauge keep me uptodate Steve

Headlights flickering

This could be caused by a lot of different things,,but usually it is the fault of the Headlight Relay.
Try replacing the relay before going further.

Don't have enough fuel pressure on my carburator, and how much pressure should i have?

Most likely the fuel pressure regulator has gone out. A good parts person should be able to look up the correct pressure for your T-bird.

I step on the brake pedal and the car stops

sounds like you have a brake booster failure, its sucking all the vacuum out of the motor, this isn't a wiring problem, do this,, have someone push on the brake with the car off, do the lights come on ? if so,, thats not a lighting problem,

When i push down on

Check the vacuum line on the power brake booster, the diaphram may be pushing the air down the rod, the break booster may be defective all together if the vacuum line is intact.

Is the master cylinder good? a bad master can cause this also did you bleed the master first before bleeding at the wheel and also make sure the bleeder screw is clean, if the hose is good then theres only a few things, a bad master or a master that wasnt bleed, try bleeding the master first then try rebleeding the brakes.

Need electronic ignition wiring diagram for a 1966

The only place that I know that has a wiring diagram is the factory shop manual which is available thru any thunderbird restoration parts suppliers or ebay. If the electronic ignition, they called it transistorized ignition in 66, is original, you might consider changing to a point type ignition or a later electronic ignition or aftermarket like Petronics. The parts for the original transistorized ignition are very hard to find and even more pricier.
