Help me install a linksys wireless router - Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router

Just first install the wireless card to your computer then when its already properly installed , connect to the wireless network name of your router and when its say connected try the internet that should e working fine already..........

Your computer is not yet connected to the wireless network of the router. Also, make sure that your wireless computer has a wireless adapter installed on it. You may verify it on the Device Manager. If you're using a laptop with built in wireless adapter , make sure that the switch for the wireless connection is on so that it will detect the signal of the router.

If you cannot still connect wirelessly, let me know of the following:
- model number of the router
- operating system of the computer
- wireless adapter installed on the computer (built in or external)
- brand of wireless adapter installed
- wireless settings of the router (SSID, wireless security)

Use windows network setup wizard to help in setting up your wireless. The wizard can search for your wireless. Some people believe you gan get away without using Linksys's software & I agree to a point. However Linksys believes to maintain a good connection you should install the software for the wireless router. You can download it from the link below. Check out the link "Learning Center". Sometimes this happens. Installing the Linksys software for your router helps a lot. To reset the router. Unplug the power cord from the wireless & unplug all cables to it. There is a reset button on the back side of the wireless. It is very small. Using a pen press & hold for ten seconds or so. Release & connect your cables & than the power cord. Never hurts to restart the pc or notebook. If you still need help you can check out Linksys home page for wireless G routers.
