Can connect to internet through modem but not through wifi

If thats the case I will assume these things:
- You are seeing the wireless router when you are trying to connect but it still wont let you connect.
OR
- You are NOT seeing the wireless router and want to connect to it.

What you will have to do it go back into the router (hard wired into it) and start over. Make sure you access the wireless setting and ensure the settings are compatible with your wireless laptop. If your laptop is very new then the setting at the bottom will work if your laptop is older then the options like WEP/WAP Personal setting will do. Make sure you write down the settings you used for refrence later.

When you rename the device, wirite it down too!

Ensure you "Apply" all the settings and "Logout."

When you are done, go to "Start," "Control Panel," "Network and Sharing Center," "Set-up a connection or network," "Manually connect to a wireless network," and enter all the information you wrote down!

Let me know if there is anything else you need help with!

How i chning computer password

LOST WIFI SECURITY KEY WORD If you have lost your WEP/WAP wifi key phrase there is no way to recover it except go into the router administration settings and see if it is in plain text there. If not then you will have to make up a new key phase and apply it to ALL your connected devices. In future, write the key phrase down on a piece of tape and apply it to the bottom of your router. You can use a hint instead of the actual phrase. I use the memo function of my cell phone to keep all my passwords and keys.

Blinking power and link led

Hi There - in my experience, blinking power lights on routers mean faulty power supplies - the Power Adaptors are prone to failure after long periods of continuous use - I would find out what voltage and current consumption is required for your router (usually printed on a label on or near the power socket in very small writing), then buy a replacement adaptor - you don't need to get the exact same item, one which can be adjusted to give different voltages should work just as well if you can match the voltage and power rating your device needs - You can use an adaptor with a higher power rating but don't use one with a lower power rating

There's a small red reset button at the backside of the device.
push it for at least 10 seconds.
