Did you carry out the correct bleeding procedure? back wheels off the ground half engine revs, five forward shifts the five reverse shifts, now put unit in bypass and same again, carry this out two or three times until the there is a smooth drive and no noise, if this does not work check the brake disc on the side of the unit is not binding, if this is ok then there is some internal damage, inside the unit there is a alloy centre section with a cylinder block and pistons running on it, if the running face is scarred then oil will leak between the two mating surfaces and there will be little or no power, this will get worse the hotter the unit gets. You can remove the two half's of the unit and replace these components.

SOURCE: My Husqvarna YTH150 right side axle keeps coming

According to Tecumseh/Peerless, the manufacturer, there are no user serviceable parts available and it should not be disassembled by the end user.
This is one of those factory sealed units that can only be replaced, not repaired. It takes a lot of "special" tools and equipment to work on them

Depens wheather its a Tuff Torque unit or a Hydro gear unit, the Tuff Torque unit has the bypass lever on the top of the box, it will normally have a rod connected to it back through the back plate, it is usually bronze in colour, the Hydro Gear box has the bypass arm on the side next to the externall brake caliper

What is the reccomended oil for this bike?..10w40? And do i replace the filter and trans fluid on a regular basis?

Not sure what kind of Honda it is, so in saying that 20w-50 is good. Make sure the oil isn't a friction modified oil and that it is suitable for motorcycles. Most motorbikes have a common sump that means, the oil for the engine is the same oil that is used for the clutch, assuming it is a wet clutch.

Change your oil out every 5000km or 6 months which ever comes first and more often if your bike is used in dusty/dirty conditions. Your filter if using the standard one should last you two changes. So ever second oil change change your filter. Or better yet get a K&N filter and then you never need repleace it, and all you need do is ever second change give it a good clean. Or as recomended by the filter manufacturer.

What are the necessary repairs for a 2002 S500 Mercedes with 91000 miles? What should your car be serviced for by this point

Hi, this really depends on its service history.

The following are the recommended service intervals on the Merc S500:

Note: operate A/C at least once per week, to maintain lubrication.

Underhood & Undervehicle

Every 3,000 miles - Replace engine oil & oil filter. Clean battery terminals. Adjust drive belt. Check power steering fluid. Check steering & CV BOOTS for wear and replace if necessary. Lubricate front end suspension.

Every 6,000 miles - Check transmission fluid condition and level. Check brake pads and caliper components - replace if necessary. Lubricate driveshaft U-joints. Rotate tires. Lubricate wiper arm linkage and pivots.

Every 12,000 miles - Adjust engine valve clearance. Replace distributor cap & rotor. Drain and replace engine Coolant. Replace Air Filter element. Replace Fuel Filter. Replace wiper blades.

Every 24,000 miles - Replace Drive Belt. Replace A/C Compressor Drive Belt. ** Change auto transmission fluid & trans filter (this is critical and must be adhered to) - preferrably do a trans flush at same time. Replace drive AXLE fluid.

Every 36,000 miles - Replace HT leads.

Every 2 years - Replace brake fluid (also clutch fluid if applicable). Replace power steering fluid.

** If you intend to keep this vehicle long term, then consider changing the trans fluid & filter every 20,000 miles. This is the secret to automatic transmission longevity.

How hard is it to replace rear end output shaft seals (inner axel seals) 98 town and country? What fluid goes back in?

I assume you mean trans axle seals in front.
You have to remove the drive axles, best done on a lift, not in your driveway.
Trans fluid lubes the Diff, that is in trans.
ATF4 etc, whatever the fluid replaced the original spec, when it was new.

Oil and Gas

1986 CHRYSLER FIFTH AVENUE 5.2L 8-cyl Engine Code [P]

LUBRICANTS & FLUIDS:
Engine Oil Grade 1....SAE ..API*
Above -18C......10W-30, 10W-40, 10W-50
Above -7C......20W-40, 20W-50

CAPACITIES:
Engine, without filter..........3.8 liters Add extra oil when replacing filter. After refill check oil level.

Use Lucas oil treatment and use the 10W-40, if your going to use the 20W-50. Use no oil treatment, the 20W-50 is thick enough. 15W-40 is what's used on the Diesel engines use on the 18 wheel trucks.

Thank you for using fixya.

Can a transmission flush on a 2001 Hyundai XG300 be a DIY job? If so what step should be follow in doing so?

If your going to just do a transmission flush without replacing the filter, the cost is around $75.00 at most speed shop like jiffy lube. The cost for the transmission oil and filter replaced is around $100.00 and worth it's while and time. DIY, your going to have to raise the car to get under it and have a tray large and wide enough to hold up to 4 liters. Undo the the bolts that hold the transmission pan and let the transmission to leak out, once the transmission fluid stopped leaking out. Drop the pan and remove the filter from the transmission valve body. Replace the filter, clean the pan, and clean the transmission and pan contact point before replace the gasket and placing the pan back. bring the car back down and add 4 liters of transmission oil and idle the car running the transmission through the gears. check the fluid level and add if needed, go for a test drive and check the transmission fluid once again and add if needed. Good luck, keep me posted. Be glad to answer any more questions you may have.
