My HP LaserJet 4700dtn Printer is really slow, it taking 25 mins to do a 15mb pdf file. I am connected to the printer via a USB cable. How can i speed it up.? it has 256mb memory.

More details, what kind of document are you printing, what format, what driver, what software are you printing from. If you are printing full page color photographs those can take a long time to print. Make sure all updates for software and firmware of printer is up to date as well.

Hi lomls3,
Are you using Kodak Easyshare ver8? If not, you may need to update the software in order for Vista to send the print jobs to the Kodak G600 printer.
Update the software to ver 8 first. Reboot the computer and retry printing.

Very very slow printing on HP P2055D on VISTA pc. All other attached printers (other brands go also slow as long as the HP driver is installed

very slow printing can be fixed by upgrading P2055dn firmware - this works for macOSX and Win users (USB cable is needit)

The printer turns on but does not print. it use to but suddenly stopped printing

Threw it away and bought a new printer. I think that the update to Vista made the printer driver obsolete, it is over 10 years old, so I gave up rather than continue fighting it.

Hello,
You will need to update your Microsoft Publisher program and you should just update the entire MS Office Suite to be compatiable with windows vista.

Epson C1100 Aculaser Duplex unit not recognised by Vista

I have had the problem, but it is easily fixed in Vista.
1. Click Control Panel
2 Click Printers
3 Right click your AL-C1100
4 Click Properties
5 Click Optional Settings label
6 Click - "Update printer info manually"
7 Click - "Duplex Print Unit "
8 Click Settings
9 Tick box in bottom left hand corner - "Duplex Print Unit"
10 Click OK .... exit

Slow booting & shut down

the only thing I can sugust is remove norton 360 if you have this onboard and get other firewall and spyware and antivirus software.

and disable the sidebar with the widgets, and change desktop view from aero to clasic this will boost up loading and shutting down of laptop.

you can purschase vista, then download all drivers for laptop from manufactures and re-install from scratch.

Stopped duplex printing when updated to Vista

Check for new drivers(for your printer) or upgrade, for windows vista....Sometime the driver for windows xp is not the same.

Epson R230 print slow at PHOTO, very slow at BEST PHOTO, if you do not need photo quality prints try printng at TEXT AND IMAGE for faster printing and the quality is still good. Also try to lower the resolution of that you are about to print, high the resoluton images takes longer time to print. Hope this will help you, Good luck!

In printing preferences adjust the print quality to draft or low, this should speed up the printing.
