My husqvarna 125b leaf blower only runs on full choke. If I move it to half choke it dies. I've taken the carb out and cleaned it and that didn't help.

My Weed Eater FL1500LE gas leaf blower will not run beyond the full choke setting. If I move the lever to half choke the engine will stop. Or if I move the throttle from full throttle to a lower speed...

This is a tell tale sign of a lean fuel mixture. By choking the unit you are manually creating a richer fuel mixture. I would purchase a compression tester from a local parts store and check compression. If that's ok, I'm willing to bet the problem is still carb related. Two stroke carbs are tricky to clean because of high/low ports that are one way and sometimes impossible to clean. Did you remove high and low needles when cleaning carb? Another trick is to mix seafoam with your gas, then mix two cycle oil to proper ratio. Use 2 ounces seafoam to one gallon of gas, then mix two cycle oil to proper mix. Hope this helps! Good luck and happy wrenching!

Trigger stuck on full

This machine has a metal throttle rod from the trigger to the carb, you need to look at the side of the carb where the rod connects to the carb, with your finger ( with the engine stopped ) work the carb throttle spindle manually to see if it is moving freely and it springs back to the small throttle idle screw easily, if it does unscrew the idle screw with a cross head screw driver until the machine idles ok, if not you need to take the l/h side cover off to investigate what has happened .

Husqvarna 125b stalls at high rev.

The fuel hose just throught the grommet comes from the pressure side of the primer bulb, it does not have to be very deep into the tank, it is just the return to tank hose, the hose kit withe grommet and filter is part no. 545081841

The best way to start cold husqv leaf blower 145

Most of the small outdoor power equipment that I have used takes the following to start:

1. Prime 6-8 times, or whatever the manual calls for.

2. Choke the carb to full choke.

3. Pull starter rope. It may sputter and die.

4. After it sputters and dies, put the choke on 1/2. Pull a time or 2 more and should start. Run like that 10 seconds or so, then take choke all the way off.

Leaf blower will not run good. Only runs at full chike or half ch

If the trimmer is more than 3 to 4 years old, you may want to replace the carburetor parts, (new carb. kit). It also depend on the amount of use.
If it is newer than that, then you will need to disassemble the carb. and spray with carb. cleaner. Make sure that the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. Use a Den tek Brush,
(http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. Reassemble and start.
