Here is how you set up port forwarding:

1. log into the router;
2. Click the Applications & Gaming link near the top of the page. 3. You should now see a new menu. Click Single Port Forwarding or Port Range Forwarding.
4, Enter sth like: HTTP; 80; 80; TCP; 192.168.0.1; check
5. When you're finished, click Save Settings near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

go to administration-> remote administration to set up remote management
Remember, remote Administrator requires you to forward the 4899 ports.

Hello, i setup a IP cam. Create an account on dyndns.org for the IP. But now when i type the given url i am linked to the setup of my Thomson router TG585 v8 What can I do? There is nothing else except...

Hi Sten -- There are several non-intuitive things you have to setup with any router and Dyndns to make this work.

On Dyndns you can setup your static or hardly every changing dynamic Internet (external - provided by your ISP) IP address in your Dyndns account settings (Not the internal NAT IP - 192.168.x.x address of the cam). if it changes more often you need a dyndns client.

On the router you have to setup port forwarding to the internal (NAT address ex:192.168.x.x) address of the camera including the port number -- or you could just create a DMZ (feature of many but not all routers) for the internal IP of the cam.

If you've done the above correctly you might want to check the troubleshooting sections at Dyndns.org located HERE and HERE.

Happy Networking and Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Cannot browse webgui page

do you have an address in the same IP network as the router? can you PING to the router IP address?  If you're not sure, find your IP address and ping your default gateway, it should be the WAG200G.

I can't open a port to show to my web site. This works only localy.

Look at this page from Linksys.

You can see that you want to go to "Application and Gaming", then to "Single Port Forwarding".

You want to setup your router like the first line:
HTTP [you can put here whatever you want] | External Port 80 | Internal Port 80 | Protocol TCP | IP Address [your web server's IP address] | Enabled [tick yes]

In the second line you write exactly the same except you replace Protocol "TCP" with "UDP".
Don't forget to enable both and to save the settings!
You should give your web server a static IP address (not via DHCP!), to ensure it is always the same.

If you have any more questions or something is not clear to you, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

I'm not sure if you are still looking for the answer, but I think the problem may be that you need to enter the PUBLIC IP address of the modem at the remote end instead of the PRIVATE (ie. 192.168.1.x) IP that was actually assigned to the DVR. It works best if you assign a static IP to the DVR on the remote end and enter that IP into the router's DMZ. You might also want to get a free account at dyndns.net and setup a FQDN for your business router/modem. That way you can connect to it using something like "mybusiness.homeip.net" instead of an IP address, and if the IP changes it will still find it. You will also have to configure your modem at the business to automatically update the dyndns server when the IP changes.
