No, this product is not compatible with Windows 7 - 64 bit. It is compatible with Vista 32 bit computers. however u have a similar adapter which is compatible with Vista 64 bit, and Windows 7 - 64 bit you can use part F5U257 (USB-to-Serial Adapter).

can you confirm if it is F5U409?
If so the solution would be to install windows vista drivers. in belkin site it says that windows 32bit are compatible with the adapter.

In my effort to find answer I created a bigger issue. Answer to my Belkin issue was found at the Belkin website. But now due to my own failure to read all the details of acceptance of what I thought was what was necessary to get help; I am into another software 'pay-me' software program costing $10/month or $12+ for one time help of something which is simple to fix (Fix-ya). I got tired of paying Microsoft $25 each time to answer a simple question and often told to re-booth my entire system at 'possibe loss of my info'. When I found the answer and told them what I did to fix my pervious problem they did not credit me or pay me $25. And now there is Fix-ya; NO THANKS. Please remove me from your support group list. Found a driver at www.driverguide.com Register with the site, search for f5u409 and the third one down I think is the Vista driver. Hopefully should solve your problem.

A: if you want to take a risk, try bending the top of it back to it's normal position. 
B: You might want to open it up and check for internal damage. Most flash drives are held together by a screw or can be **** open with a penknife. Bend the plug back to it's normal position, and try putting it back in your computer. If your computer picks it up, copy off all the data, and buy a new flash drive!

I had the same problem. I went to my Device Manager and checked the port setting for my cable. I reset the port in advanced properties and I was then able to do a transfer. I still have a yellow flag on my cable and get the error 10 but for some reason it did the transfer???

ok... so I've now installed this on my new pc that i built... first in order to get it to install at all you must download DirectX 7.0 and right click to "--(edit compatibility settings to windows 98/Me and run as administrator)--" remember this as well be doing it a few times. once you do that install DirectX 7.0 and say yes to all. now that this is installed take the .iso file you have and burn it to a cd or DVD-r, once burned you need to go to my computer and right click on the cd/DVD drive, select open (NOT open autoplay), inside the disc menu i want you to go to 2 files... "setup" and "start" need to also have their compatibility settings changed to the above settings. now that these are set stay in the cd menu and double click "setup" this will take you through the setup procedure. after the setup procedure is finished do not view the notes, and continue back to the desktop. now from your start menu load the game and it should run
