OK, this is going to take a bit of nerve but it has worked every time (dozens) I have seen this problem. Switch off the printer and unplug, make sure the ink carriage is parked. Get a stiff piece of A4 card such as the backing from an A4 notepad. Place the card in the paper feed and push through quite firmly for the first half inch then open the scanner unit and watch the rollers inside the printer as you push it further. It should push out anything blocking the paper path. Push the card fully through in the direction of paper feed, never try to pull paper jams or anything else out backwards if it can at all be helped.

Paper jam problem

Hi Sarah, do you have an epson printer?
In these years i had this problem with a lot of Epson Printers...
Well, if this is the situation, i'm sorry to tell you that this is caused by the printer pick up rollers that are worn, so... you can try to wipe with alcohol the surface of the rollers, but there's no way to fix this...
You can try to gently push the paper inside the printer when it takes the sheet

Ink cartridges move back and forth, paper feeds and half way goes sideways creating a paper jam

check closely where the paper is moving sideways.. there is something obstructing the paper path, piece of paper a staple or something.. look closely

I cannot get the jam out. Seems like I need the top cover off.

hello, have you already turned machine around to look at back of machine, and pulled off the rear cover, sometimes you can get the whole paper out this way. now if you already replace back cover and turned machine around, lift up front cover as if you where going to replace color ink, you will see a small door, lift this door up, and see if you can see the paper, and remove it, now if the print carraige is there, move to the left, all the way, look sideways from the left, and check to see if there is some paper on the right , if so remove. go ahead and close covers, if pressing ok to recover from paper jam, then power off, wait a few seconds, then power on.

Paper jam

Try taking out the toner cartridge and seeing if you see any more bits of paper. Also open up the back panel and see if you see anything there.

The paper will not feed correctly. The Right side is getting jam

First jam a paper on purpose then you will know where the jam is . and you will also know where to find the paper which is under the white cylinder.

Paper getting stuck

the reason the paper is going in sideways is because one feed roller has more pressure than the other

try cleaning the rollers with alcohol and cotton cloth

If that does not work remove the paper tray t

take your fingers and see if the feed rollers turn freely or turn in only one direction( some rollers are half moon and only turn a half turn)

Just try to make sure that the roller that is not working is in the same position and turns the same as the one that does feed properly

Jam in the document feeder

I think I found my answer. You don't have to un do any screws. Lift up the cover to the automatic feeder. You will see a spring on the side of the mechanism towards the front; remove the spring; that will allow you to lift up the little arm the spring was attached to and remove the roller or bar and the light blue/green plate just under it. Then you will be able to see the jammed paper, which which I was able to carefully pull out with a pair of tweezers. Some was under rubber rollers, but when I pulled the paper sideways it slipped out. Now it works!

Paper Feed Problem

This is caused by the solenoid that is activated when picking up the paper. The solenoid is activated and the device goes through the motions of picking up the paper. It fails to pick up the paper or fully feed it past the leading edge sensor resulting in a jam error. You should replace the pick up solenoid assy and also the pick up roller and friction pads.
