How do I shut off permenently the VAIO Content Sharing program thats I see in my taskbar always?

I upgraded my laptop which is practically brand new, from win 7 to win 8. Initially I wanted to just ask how to shut of VAIO Content Sharing program that is always running. But once I'm asking, I may as well ask if anyone knows why my laptop which is supposed to be a pretty decent laptop as far as software & hardware is concerned has been running very slow and not able to update any Vaio software.... any help would be much appreciate! Sincerely, Joe

Use a program like ccleaner (see filehippo.com) which lets you see what starts up in windows andyou can disable it. Look for the program and nuke it.

Check out the manual on your computer regarding the webcam controls
Sometimes the webcam start procedure can be found under the keyboard heading

Start > Computer >> Local disk (C) >> Documentation >> EN(glish)

Driver web cam

Google search "VAIO VGN-FE770G" and "webcam driver" and (Windows version). Then install the driver. Don't be surprised if you have upgraded Windows and now can't find a driver for the upgraded Windows. Laptop manufacturers don't always release new drivers. They prefer to sell new laptops.

Download sony vaio drivers for windows 7 64 bit PCG-71C11L

I have a VAIO PCG-71C11L laptop. Previously it was fine well. My home has no internet access. So I sometimes brought it to my office and check and update necessary patches via Live Update. Then I took it back to my home. But since last 3 months ago, I tried to connect the internet, I was surprised that No WiFi in my vaio laptop. Then I test again it with cable. Surprised again that there was No Connection. So I check in the Network and Sharing Center, there is no connection and no network adaptor. So I check in the Device Manager and I found that there is no NIC Card. Moreover Webcam in that vaio does not work and even not in Device Manager.
So is here anyone who know what is going on in my VAIO? What wrong in my laptop? How can I do? Those devices are hidden or damanged? Why dont they working anymore?
Please give me any solution..appreciate your response.

How do i do the factory restore on my sony vaio?

Your VAIO® computer is not supplied with System or Application Recovery CDs. Use the VAIO Recovery Wizard utility to recover your computer's operating system and preinstalled software programs. For more information about the VAIO Recovery Wizard utility program: 1. Click Start from the Windows® taskbar, and then click Help and Support. 2. From the VAIO Help and Support Center, click VAIO Recovery Options. Your computer must have an active Internet connection to access the Sony online support Web site. Observe the proper safety precautions when you upgrade your Sony computer. See Before upgrading your computer.

I have sony vaio vgn fs715 w but i have aproblem no sound with win 7 couldyou hel me

According to the website this model of VAIO does not support Windows 7. You should always consult the Microsoft website Upgrade Compatibility before upgrading OS. However, all hope is not lost. It might be possible to make the driver for XP work with your system. If you go to the Sony VAIO website, go to Support and download the XP drivers for the audio card to the desktop of your computer. Next, right click on the file and select Properties. Select the Compatibility tab, check the Run this program in Compatibility Mode for... box and select Windows XP with SP3. Also select Run this Program as an Administrator. Press Apply, run the program and you should be good to go.

If not, comment back and we can move further.

Good Luck,

Ram upgrade

No, it will only accept up to 2GB (two 1GB chips)

As for the Vaio, it seems there is only one processor available for this system and it can be seen here

http://product.pelltechnology.com/Sony_Vaio_VGN-FS840W_CPU_Replacement.asp

MOST of the time, it is not practical to upgrade a laptop since it costs so much more in parts and labor than a desktop does.
