2008 explorer factory radio just stopped showing sat 1 or sat 2 when pressing aux. Only shows line in

Radio worked fine with satellite, regular radio, CD and auxiliary. All the sudden, when pressing the aux button to get satellite, satellite option doesn't even appear, only line in.

resolved by disconnecting battery and allowing the radio to reset

Collin, how long did you leave the battery disconnected? This same problem is happening to our Lincoln MKZ and my husband disconnected the battery and it didn't work.

SOURCE: 2002 ford explorer radio removal and installation procedure

You have to have special ford radio tools. they look like two horse shoes. they clip into the two holes on either side of the radio and then you push outwards and pull on the clips at the same time and the radio slides right out. the tools are usually inexpensive and can probably be found at local auto parts store

SOURCE: CDs are stuck and CD player will not work. Factory

From everything I've heard, this is a very common problem and can be costly to have repaired. One forum I found had this posting...maybe it will work for you.

"This is what I did to my In-Dash 6 disc CD Player.

Rather that toss the radio like most are saying to do you can try this first.

Pull the radio out and remove the screw on each side and the 2 on the back. Pop off the cover and you can see the CD's. The part of the CD changer may have not fully engaged the CD it wanted to play and it is stuck not knowing what to do. Press on the CD that so that the part that spins the CD is locked into the center of the CD. Leave the top open and plug in the CD player. It should start going through all of the cd's then if the CD error is gone it will play again."

1998 ford explorer radio does'nt work switch on sterrein wheel broke.how to fix it ?no power to the radio

You can't turn it on by the switch on the radio ? Nothing showing on the radio display ? If not check these fuses
Blown central junction box (CJB) Fuse 1 (7.5A), Fuse 20 (7.5A), Fuse 28 (7.5A), and Fuse 29 (25A) . The switch on the steering wheel should not stop the radio from being turned on at the radio !

Xm dosent show up anymore in my rendezvous factory radio

May be worth while to uninstall and reinstall tuner to allow it to reinitialize. You can also see if there is a reset button on radio face. If that doesn't work, one of the satellite components may need to be replaced.

I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna van and had the battery replaced, the radio will not work now.

Does radio show "CODE" in the display?
Call dealer or look in your owners manual.
4 digit code will get it back.
Always save the "memory" in the systems when changing the battery.
Use an external 12 V. source to keep computer, clock and radio
memory.
Losing memory may cause the engine to NOT idle and run poorly as well.
A 9 V. battery in the cigarette lighter is one way.

Ive got a factory radio reading of i have code how do i reset to put in code

When you turn on the radio, it will say "codE" on the display. You have the 4-digit code number for your radio, to enter the first digit, press the "1" button on the radio the number of times until the first digit matches. For example, if your code is "2156" then, press radio preset button 1 two 2 times, then press radio preset button 2 one time, then radio preset button 3 five 5 times and finally preset button 4 six times.
THEN if the display is correct (should show 2156 in this example), press TAPE button. You should hear a beep and the radio should be working. If you make a mistake and enter a wrong code, the display will show "Err". You have 3 tries to get this correct or the radio may be toast. These are the steps for the stock radio in my 1995 GSX and they've worked for me each time I've lost battery power. Good luck!

How to hook up the sirius stratus 5 radio in my 2008 rav4?

I have sirius installed in my 2008 RAV4 JBL system.
There is an adapter made by VAIS technologies http://www.vaistech.com/ that is called a soundlink. It comes with instructions for the connection. The Sirius radio is hidden in this installation, and is controlled by your JBL system. The antenna runs up the side of the windshield (hidden behind the plastic moulding) and mounts to the top right corner of the roof.

HOWEVER- you will not have the full funcionality of the Stratus 5 radio- which has more funtionality that the JBL system can control. Also, the Scrolling feature on the Stratus 5 screen does not work on the JBL display. . . you get the first 15 or so characters, with no scrolling.

I love having an integrated satelite radio in my car, but I do miss the better screen, and the pause feature I had on my sportster (in my old car). Good Luck.

Need To Wire In A Aftermarket Radio In A 2008 F-150

Easiest way is to go to Crutchfield.com web site, When you order a radio face plate or factory wireharness they give you a free installation kit which shows the color codes of each wire for the radio. Also, when you get the wireharness you don't have to cut any factory wires, it just plugs into your factory harness and you connect the open ends to your new radio.
