It still glows but won't light. Any suggestions? Thanks
Is it new? If you just hooked it up, it might take a little time to bleed the air out of the gas line. Also make sure that the gas valve is open. I know it sounds obvious but it is left closed many times.
Its 8 to 10 years old. Has worked fine.
The oven igniter may glow but that does not necessarily mean that it is working. You would have to measure the amps draw. Flat igniters should be between 3.2 - 3.6 amps at the gas valve. A new igniter should be less than $50 online. Given the age of the oven this is most likely the culprit since they usually last less than 8 years. If it does not glow white hot, it will not open the gas valve. A faulty valve could be the problem but I'd test the igniter first. Hope this helps
