Husqvarna 345 chainsaw will not start. It is 3

I suspect she is flooded. Flooding is the most common cause of fails to start on a chainsaw. Remove the plug I bet it's wet.
Start Procedure
Cold:
  1. Ignition on/off to on
  2. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release
  3. Pull (close) choke, set fast idle (done when choke closed on some saws); pull starter and listen for an attempt to start. once heard (usually two pulls; no more than 4)
  4. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release
  5. Push (open) choke pull starter until it starts. (usually first pull)
Warm:
  1. Ignition on/off to on
  2. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release
  3. Pull (close) choke, set fast idle (done when choke closed on some saws) - Don’t pull with choke closed.
  4. Push (open) choke, pull starter until it starts. (usually first pull)
Hope this helps
Lou
I've a 359 one time I forgot to pull then push the choke (sets fast idle). My shoulder gets sore just thinking about it.

Spark plug gap on husky 350 chainsaw

The plug should gap at 0.5 mm or .020" and be sure to use the proper resister plug. Do not cross reference a plug.

Where are the screws on carburator for my chain saw

Remove the air box and air filter. The 2 screws holding on the carburetor are right on the outside of the carburetor. The screws go through the carburetor through the intake boot and into the cylinder.

Where can I find a husqvarna 240 e carb adjust tool ?

Before I change carbs, I think I would change fuel lines. Also always use ethanol free fuel.....the ethanol will eat and clog your lines!

Husqvarna chainsaw carburetor adjustment

Find the 2 screws. There will be a (h) high and (L) low. These are for hig rpms and low rpms. First tighten the screws. Then unscrew them about 1-1/4 turns. Then start the saw and let it warm up. Start with the high rpms first pull the trigger all the way then adjust the screw in 1/8 turns either way until it is running good at high rpms. Then work on the L rpms. Get the saw to idle then pull the trigger, there should not be any hesitation when going from L to H rpms. Just adjust the low same as the High. They have to work together so if the high is good and the low is not just right turn the h a small amount. If you have any more questions let me know

Cant remove plastic covers on L andH screws on my 350 husky

If your refering to the Walbro carb and the little red anti tamper caps then they can be a pain. If you look carefully they have a little tab that sticks out of them and this must line up with the cut out on the carb in order for them to be removed. I use a pair of long nose pliers to take them out, but if you're not fussed about putting them back on then just keep unscrewing the tuning screws, They will eventually break the caps and come out with the tuning screws.

How do I adjust the oiler

As standard the 345 did not have an adjustable pump, there was an option of an adjustable pump, if it has the on, then the adjuster is a three position screw comimg up from under the crankcase below the sprocket, you will see a + and - on the edge of the tank at this point.

I have a husqvarna 345 run for a few cuts then stops.

either blocked fuel filter in the fuel tank ( hook out and replace ) or the fuel tank breather is blocked thus causing a vacume in the tank, to prove this, when the saw starts to die slacken off the filler cap, this will allow air into the tank and it should pick up again, the breather is pressed into the tank on the r/h side rear.

Why does the gas intake hose keep coming off whenever you prime it?

Some fuel types are very aggresive and will attack the material the hose is made of, the only answer is to replace the hose, and if required use a small clip or tie strap around the hose connection to ensure it does not come off.

Unable to locate adjustment control for chain

Not all 345 machines had an adjustable oiler, it is retro fittable if it does not, however if it hs an adjuster, the screw is located on the bottom of the saw between the cranckcase and the fuel tank, just below the sprocket, there will be an oil symbol and a - and + sign there, the pump is three position, for 13/15/18" bars.

Hard to start Husqvarna 435

reportedly you need to open up the low idle jet screw about 1/4 turn, takes an odd shaped tool to get at it, Husky sells this tool, or you can probably makeshift one from hard plastic tube... anyway, this is due to EPA issues, but once you increase the L adjustment 1/4 turn (counter clockwise, I believe), problem is said to go away.

Bar oil adjuster is located?

Not all 345 machines had a adjustable oiler as standard, they were retro fittable, if it has an adjustable pump there will be a screw head under the crankcase below the sprocket, you will see a + and - sign on the fuel tank with an oil drop.
