Cannot get dell lap top to connect to net gear wireless router
Try reinstalling the wireless driver. You can download the device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you select the Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Bing searches
you may want to clear your internet browser cache, you can do this a couple of places but the easiest to get to is [start] control panel, internet options, on the general tab at the top of the window that pops up you'll see 'browsing history" delete that and then close your browser and that window, open the window back up again and see if your bing search works then i would also suggest running a malware scan on the system. Malwarebytes is a really good free utility for that and you can get it from download.com

Hi Elizabethit sounds to me as though the cable which connects the screen to the mainboard has become damaged or worked loose. You will need to take the laptop to bits to check that the connection is secure, or to replace the cable. Hope this helps.
My screen states "Your CD?DVD
Hello.
Either you have a memory issue or operating system problem.
First, disconnect all cables. Be certain to dispel static electricity by touching metal. Remove the cover. Try reseating (removing and reinserting) your memory (try one module at a time to test).
If still a problem, boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, everything, including your documents and other files you saved on the hard drive, will roll back to that date.
If you can't access System Restore by Safe Mode, try Offline System Restore:
1. Boot from the DVD
2. Select the Language
3. Click on "Repair your Computer" on the Install now screen
4. Click next on the System Recovery Options screen
5. Click on System Restore.
6. Choose the date to which you want to restore
If still a problem, the last choices are Factory Restore and reinstall. Accessing Factory Restore (restores to the factory settings and will wipe out anything that you have installed or saved on your PC), is dependent on your hardware manufacturer. Boot your system and press F10, F11, Alt+F10, or Ctrl+F11 to access Factory Restore. Follow the prompts.
If still not resolved, you'll probably need to reinstall your operating system.
Hope this helps.
