Fmv156dca buzzing loud

This is a strong indicator the magnetron is going to fail, and it is a matter time.

Won't heat and turntable doesn't turn

In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even something in the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system mangnetron down, for safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man. Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.

Trying to remove to two

We have a Gallery Frigidaire series "professional" model and I encountered the same issue where it would tilt forward but not come of wall. Ours had three long bolts thru top cabinet after removing them it tilted but would not come out. I could not find any levers or other bolts holding it to bracket/wall. Turned out it was just the electrical cord routed tightly though upper cabinet that was holding it once we fed slack thru hole it came right down. Hope this helps, Bill C from Babylon NY

Food won't heat up

Hello, I had the same problem, and just fixed mine. Start by turning on your microwave (on mine, the light turned on and timer worked, but the fan nor the plate turned)... push the door upward and see if the microwave turns on... (mine did). so far so good. open the door and take the upper hinge cap off with flat head screwdrive. take the door off and place a small washer on the bottom hinge, put the door back on. your microwave should be good now. essentially, the door just needs to be pushed up a bit so it will work.
good luck, hope that works for you...

Microwave will not run when i press start

Not sure which relay switch you refer to but there is a switch that tells the unit the door is closed, that is your problem.

I have a microwave oven

I have exactly the same problem. Everything works perfectly even fan, except microwave table won't turn. I just found out what's the problem... The door for some reason is sitting too low now, even though it is not obvious at all. It looks leveled with everything else, but it's not. Set your Microwave to let's say 30 seconds and turn it on. It will not do anything... but you just gently lift the door (while closed of course) few millimeters and your Microwave will start running like new. There is something wrong with those latches on the door, not touching the microswitches inside the Microwave. Doors must be properly closed in order for Microwave to work. This is due to poorly design. I yet have to figure out how to fix that permanently.

Everything on my microwave is

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron.
So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off. Check the wave guide covers, if food had deposited
then it must be checked or replaced.

See link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/1146/how-to-replace-a-microwave-guide-cover.html

Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on, use a cup of water inside to test. If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type.Check the cost of a magnetron and estimate, wave gguides cost less and it is worth replacing. If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

Thank You for using FIXYA.

I have a Frigidaire microwave,

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

While I don't have a video or diagram I can tell you on most microwaves with these symptoms you're dealing with a faulty secondary switch, (if you check your diagram this is the one going to the turntable motor).

**All should be changed at once in my opinion, sensing, secondary and monitor, they all have the same amount of wear after all.**

In fact the sensing switch and secondary are identical part's, part #5304440026 and only the monitor switch (aka fuse switch...cause if it goes so does the fuse, thus a fuse is usually included in the switch purchase) is part #5303319559.

**Unplug the unit from the 120v supply of course before performing any service...safety first**

These are both available at "repairclinic.com" or "searspartsdirect.com" to name a couple.

I can guide you on accessing these switches or changing them, but based on your post you already know how to access them...please let me know though if you need anything else.

Hope that help`s move you forward. If so please take a second and rate the guidance and a testimony to the assistance you received here at FixYa, either or all is appreciated.

Let me know if you need any further info and I'll continue to help in any manner I can. Good luck

Regards,

Macmarkus :)
