Where is the monitor switch?
The job of the monitor switch is to prevent the oven from cooking while the door is open.
If there is a problem with the door switches or door switch alignment that could allow that to happen, the monitor switch stands ready like a crowbar to ensure that the fuse and/or house circuit breaker will blow to interrupt power to the oven.
The service manual for this oven is
here.
Since you're asking, I would bet you have an issue with your door switch or door switch mount, such as:
- the oven will count down but not actually start cooking when you press "Start". This is almost always a bad primary interlock (bottom door switch in this model).
- the fuse or breaker blows when you open or close the door. This is probably a sticky door switch or loose or broken door switch mount.

This is a problem associated with the magnetron. Either the power supply (transformer, diode, capacitor) or the magnetron itself. UNPLUG, remove cover, check for burn marks, a blown fuse, and test all components. Likely you have a bad magnetron (test for low resistance lead to lead, infinite either lead to ground). I found a new magnetron, removed from freight damaged oven, online for about $40. Mine is a built in which would cost $300+ to replace, so it was worth fixing. I hope this helps you.
Microwave does not work unti, door slightly
this may not be the switch its self but its physical position in relation to the door acuator. either the switch needs adjustment or the door actuator or door itself. recommend certifed engineer advise on this problem.
warning: mircowave is a high energy, if doors are not seated correcly then energy may leak past door shielding and cause injury.
Microwave seems to run, but won't heat.
We have a similar problem! It sounds like a problem with the microswitch inside the unit that the door is suppose to engage when closed. If not engaged properly, it will not cook. We had the switch replaced last March but it has started acting up again. We can press in on the door and/or lift it slightly and it will cook. Try putting time on the counter and hit start. It the word "cook" appears then try moving the door slightly and see if the turntable starts turning. If not, then you may have a more serious problem. Good luck!

do you realy wont to die??? call the guy back to fit a new micro switch in the door lock as its set back deep in side the unit and its a cheep part as well

HELLO THERE:
I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THE FUSE.
If you remove the cover
This is done by by removing the screws in the back that are attached to the cover and than remove the screws on the bottom that hold on the cover .
You will be able to slide the cover off the back this may take a little bit of pressure and help with a flattip screwdriver.
once the cover is off look towards the front on the side and you will see a circuit board and on this board is the fuse,
Simply replace the fuse and than you can test the unit with the cover off if it works great, now just replace the cover and you are done.
If not you will have to have the circuit board serviced or replaced ok?
this should take care of the problem ok i surley hope that this has helped you ok?
Best regards Michael
Microwave wont work
The microswitch operated by the door catch will need to be repositioned by a serviceman. Do not remove the microwave cover yourself as they are potentially lethal even when not plugged in to a power source because of a large capacitor holding high voltage charge.
Cooking doesnt start
Microwave?
Generic advice follows.
Do you open the door while the machine is cooking? Do it a lot? For a long time (months)? Check your door safety interlock switches. The microswitches can not stand that type of abuse. I have personal knowledge on this. I try not to open the door until it stops, but it is hard usually to do that!!!

Microwave is scratched
You will need the following:
Polishing compound, jeweler's rouge or whitening toothpaste
Electric buffer
Lamb's wool buffing pad
2 ounces of ammonia
2 quarts of water
Rubber gloves
Safety goggles
Lint-free paper towels or cloth
Step 1:
Apply polishing or jeweler's rouge to a lambs wool buffing pad. You can either buff the scratch by hand using a circular motion or with an electric buffer on medium speed.
Step 2:
Wash the polishing compound, jeweler's rouge or whitening toothpaste off from time to time in order to check on the progress of the scratch removal.
Step 3:
Mix two ounces of ammonia with two quarts of water. You may want to be sure to hold your nose closed during this process! Also, always wear rubber gloves and safety goggles when working with ammonia.
Step 4:
Clean the glass surface with the ammonia water with a clean soft sponge.
Step 5:
Dry the glass with a lint free towel. If the scratches are not completely gone, they should at least be less apparent. If there is no significant difference, consider contacting a glass company to replace or rebuff the glass.
The timer will run when you push start but the
This
is usually caused by either a bad door switch or a loose door switch
mount, which are pretty simple problems to fix.
Even though a door
switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.
Door switch
or mount trouble is usually caused by slamming the door or by opening
the
door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.
There are
plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and
onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.
The screws on these
mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be
activated properly.
Sometimes it's
a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just
out of position. This tab
can be hard to see, since it is under the
bottom edge of the switch.
If the switch mount is
broken, it's usually more economical and
safer to add a dab or two of hot glue to the mount to secure the
switch. Let it cool for about 30 minutes before using.
One test that sometimes
helps is to
gently lift up (and/or push down) on the door or handle as you try to
start it. If it works or tries to work, then it's a door switch mount
or
door alignment issue.
You can find helpful
exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model
number here.
There
should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit
behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating
components.
At
our Web site, we have a video
available showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
If you don't find yours,
or if you want to look at it without disassembling the oven, you may be able to download it here.
If you only need a
switch, you can order a universal type here for $5 postpaid.
