Steam wand issues are usually caused by cooked milk solids inside the wand. You need a good enzyme cleaner like Rinza. Dim displays are normally caused by failing, bulging or split capacitors on the back of the display. They regulate voltage to the display. If you are proficient with a soldering iron, you can do it yourself.

There are three things it could be, the motor that drives the brewing unit, the brewing unit itself or the pressure relief valve. You need to operate while looking inside with a torch to see what is happening. This is done with the back, the top and the beans side side cover removed for visibility.
When you buy these machines, they don't tell you that they need dealer servicing every 6 to 12 months. You need a brew head service kit which involves replacing all the seals and O-rings. The heat and pressure makes the seals deteriorate and leak. Also, it is not using cleaning solution, you have pipe blockages. They are only about 1/8" internal diameter.
