Part of the coating on the warming plate has come

No charge from me but not much help either; the coatings are commonly Teflon (or similar) and this is not a DIY process. The warming plate isn't always coated on low-cost machines and the minor difference in temperature will not influence the carafes durability. The coating mostly makes the surface easy to clean. You might email Krups and whine about the coating pealing off; they might send you a replacement plate which should be difficult to replace if it annoys you enough.

I descaled my Krups X1500

The descaling process didn't worked as it should: instead of dissolving the scales it just dislodged from the walls of the heating element; the scales, now free, have clogged the water pipe to the espresso side of the machine.
The only way to fix that is to manually clean the pipes, pressure pump and control valves. For that the entire machine must be disassembled. This could be done by you, but only if you have at least a basic experience with this kind of devices - the tolerances are very low and if you force it during disassembling or you put it back even slightly off then you will damage it beyond repair.

Clear coffee?

Hello, After many years in the coffee game there are only 3 possible reasons for this, either the water is not heating, this would cause the water to not extract the coffee from the grounds. Or your filter is folding over and the water is running down past the filter....Lastly and the most probable is the spay head is blocked and the water is coming out the over flow if there is one, which is then bypassing the filter. Things to check would be heat, spray head and filter. Hope this helps...Mike

Froth control problems

Your vinegar did the job: it as removed the deposits, now these deposits are clogging the four holes porcelain valve.....if the froth lever is not broken.
Remove all the screw you can see on the top and under the top of it, remove the cover, unscrew the frothing device down to the porcelain valve consisting of two 4 holes discs, clean them, and voila!

Milk froths at 1st then doesn't after 1 week

Ensure first that you are using the steam pipe in the correct way to froth the milk.

If it still does not work, that means that the steamer is not generating enough pressure steam.

This happens either because there is not enough heat, or if you release the steam when pressure is not enough.

If you think you are doing everything in the right way, then contact the company and insist for having the machine fixed or replaced.
