Krups XP4030 Espresso Machine Questions & Answers
Krups XP4000 Pump Espresso Machine.
If it is brand new you should not be expected to figure it out, take it back to the shop. Any messing about with a brand new appliance can only harm your guarantee, let them figure it out. It sounds like the pump valves are dry or stuck.
Neither water nor steam coming out from never used espresso machine.
From the sound of your You Tube clip the pump is running but it's probably dry and not pumping for some reason. Before I pulled it apart I would try and force some water into the pump. You may find that a piece of garden hose is roughly the right size to engage the tank seal. About a foot of it should be enough, engage the hose, fill it with water, operate the pump like you did in the video and blow as hard as you can into the top of the hose. With sealed lips like you are filling a balloon. If that doesn't work then I think you are doomed and will need to open it up and find where the water stops.
Pump won't stop pumping
It sounds like the electronic PCB has failed and is supplying current to the pump all the time. It's not the sort of repair that a homeowner would be wanting to tackle. They are not made with ease of repair in mind. I would advise getting a quote from an authorised Krups service agent or just binning it.
Krups XP7240 error OC
OC can mean faulty communication between the 2 boards, disconnect from mains & try again which you have probably already done. There is only 1 cable from the display pcb to the control pcb and that is to the top front of the side pcb.
OC can also mean the distributor is drawing too much power, if that's the issue just replace the distributor.

When this happens it usually means that the water isn't heating up correctly, this can be a fault with the element, the thermostat and or the temperature sensor/electronics there is no way to tell without actually examining the unit.
This really isn't the type of a repair that one can do oneself, unless one has the service manual, the spare parts. the tools and instruments, and time. The best course of action is to contact your local Krups representative and arrange a service call.
My Krups can't pump water
your machine might need descaling. I had trouble unscrewing the screw that holds the filter, but a bit of CRC and carefully turning back and forward did the job.
Our maching was completely blocked until I cleaned the filter.

A few initial steps:
- Insure that the water reservoir is full, and that the machine is plugged in.

My espresso machine no longer
I had the same problem; I ground the beans too fine and plugged the metal filter. I boiled the filter in vinegar and it works fine now. Only do this if you have an exhaust fan that vents to the outside, it's pretty smelly.
We just bought this machine
just Google the model number, or Google Krups, search for the model, and you should be able to locate the user manual. That's how I got my user manual for our xp4050
