I guess since you tried all the things that a cust. serv. rep would have said to do, maybe it needs to be sent in for repair. I have a Zune HD and before that I had the older Zunes and it broke on me. Sometime new technology just doesn't work like it should.

First plug it into the charger. Then take it off of hold. Finally hold the back or power button until it turns on. ;)

If it's not doing anything else, so you should probably let the zune software do the restore. Usually doing a restore will fix any software related issues.

You probably need to replace the internal battery, you should be able to source one on ebay. Take the pack off and have someone measure the voltage at the battery terminals when on and off charge, after it has been on charge for at least an hour. If it drops hugely below the specified voltage on the battery then the battery is faulty

There is no driver for the Zune as such, what is it that you are trying to do?
The Zune should be recognised by the operating system as a mass storage device.

Hi,most mp3 player always those that. not connecting to computer.
What to do is this, you will need to go to the device manager on your system and uninstall the usb driver installed on the system. After uninstalling the drivers ..,Insert the mp3player and install the drivers again . our done....

Make sure the USB cable your using is working properly.

in order to fix this . you have to restart the device. to restart the device you press and hold back while also pressing and holding the top part of the zune pad until screen goes blank and zune logo appears this should work. if contact support comes back up try restoreing the device.

no, dont just do the following On your zune make sure the hold button isn't on
At the same time hold down the back button and upwards on the directional pad until the screen goes black
then use your left hand and press the back button while using your right index finger to press the middle of the zune pad use your middle finger (on your right hand) to press play pause button. All of these need to be held at the same time. You should get a please wait message. follow the instructions on screen.

You must have received a CD along with the Zune? Please insert the CD into the tray and install the software and drivers of ZUNE to the computer. Then connect the device and allow Windows to detect it and load its drivers and tell you in the right bottom corner of the screen "New hardware is installed and ready to use".

I found the solution. what you do is you plug your zune into your usb port and your zune home page will come up automatically. as soon as your computer reads it look in the top right corner and go to settings. then go to device. finally press erase all content.

when it is done your zune should be empty but it will scroll and work once more...im not sure what is wrong but i had this same problem with my i pod and this same solution fixed that problem also.
ZUNES ARE MUCH BETTER THAN I PODS, stay zune and proud.

You need the cord. Get her to mail it to you. Follow the reset protocol form zune support and reinstall the software. If that doesn't fix the code5 then it is the hard drive. They run about $80 on ebay.
