How to download music on to it

Hello,

follow the steps below:

  1. Put a CD of your favorite music into your computer, and then open your Zune player. Click on the music that you want to copy.
  2. Click on the "Rip" button, and then save your music with any of the following file extensions: .wma, .wmv, .mp3, .jpg, .mp4, .m4v, .m4a, .m4b or .mov. The ability to play music in all of these formats is one of the features that make Zune such a superior digital player.
  3. Plug your Zune player into your computer using a USB cable, and then the Zune software will automatically import all of your selected music into the player. Set the "Sync" option to "Default" so that all the music in your directory will install in your Zune player whenever you plug it into your computer.
  4. Purchase music online by either buying each song individually (usually for about 99 cents a song) or buying a membership to a website where you get unlimited downloads. You automatically get a membership to Zune Marketplace when you purchase Zune, and you can get unlimited downloads there.
I hope the above steps will help to solve your problem.

Good luck

Used a Micromax Mobile Charger

Did the charger documentation say it was Zune compatible? If so, you might try contacting the charger's manufacturer, since it sounds like you fried your board.

Does your Zune respond at all if plugged into a computer via a Sync cable?

most likely the battery is old and isn't holding a charge anymore. this isn't a difficult problem to fix, but depending on your Zune model might require some simple soldering. replacement batteries can be found on eBay, and if you have a 1st Gen it is a simple swap. anything later and you will have to have basic soldering skills, or know someone who does. good luck!

When you connect the MP3 player to your computer with the supplied USB cable then computer detects the player as an external storage device or a Removable disk, you can then view the folder on your MP3 player. Open the music folder and create a new folder on the player exactly the same way you create a folder on your computer's hard drive. To organise your music, make a folder name with the name of the music album and place the album's MP3 files in this folder, then copy the mp3 files from the computer into this folder. You will then be able to select the music you want to play by the music album folder. To delete a file from your MP3 player, connect the supplied USB cable to your player and then plug it into the USB port of your computer. The computer will detect your player then click on this device to view the files, you can then click on the music file to highlight the file and then press the Del key to delete the file off your MP3 player. Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. Click on this link for instructions on converting video files for MP3 players :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5874192-play_videos_mp3_player MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. You shouldn't have to install the driver yourself! Uninstall and Delete all files connected to your Zune (except your music files!). Now, plug your Zune in, and the computer should locate/install all the necessary drivers and software needed to operate your Zune. Then, you can format/personalize the Zune software the way you want. The computer downloads the drivers for you! Try that! It should work wonderfully!

Hold the Back arrow (<-) and Up on the touch pad and it will restart the Zune. This works for the 8gig and 80gig Zune.
