Make sure you are connecting to your own internet connection through your wireless router and not on your neighbor's.....limited connectivity means you are out of reach or signal is blocked....

Error code 0142 message error code 2000-0142

My computer did boot up to the desktop, but was completely unresponsive from there when trying to open anything. I ran a system diagnostics and got this error with the status byte of 70. I rebooted into Safe Mode and was then able to open files. I backed up my stuff to a flash drive and then ran Error-Checking in the HD Properties which runs the CHKDSK function the next time the computer is rebooted. That found 2 bad file clusters and repaired them. One was a file called Windows.edb, which does the hard drive search indexing for Windows and was most likely my problem with the lockups. The other was a Napinsp.dll file. After these were fixed and the computer was rebooted, everything worked normally. This HD is only 9 months old, but if this happens again, I'll replace it again.

Start windows with its regular settings

I'm not quite sure what you are asking? Why isn't Windows starting with "regular settings"? Are you referring to a Normal Startup in MSCONFIG? If you unplug, remove battery, plug in, reboot, it doesn't startup normally?

Battery not charging dell inspiron 630m

1Determine if the laptop battery is defective. While less than 1 percent of batteries are defective, the possibility is still there. If the battery is new and only charges some of the way, it may just require a BIOS update to charge fully. New batteries that refuse to charge at all may be defective. Purchase a new dell inspiron 630m battery to replace the defective one.2Test the laptop power adapter to see if it's faulty. Run the laptop directly from the laptop power adapter and without the battery. If the laptop does not work with the adapter plugged in, the adapter is dead and you will need to replace it. The laptop battery may refuse to charge if the adapter is faulty. Charge the battery with the laptop turned off.3Insert the laptop battery into another laptop to test it. If the laptop battery charges in another laptop, the laptop's motherboard may be bad. Replacing a motherboard in a computer can be very expensive. If the cost to fix the computer is not worth the cost of replacing the motherboard, consider purchasing a new laptop.4Reinstall the battery to ensure all connectors latch properly. The latch mechanism that holds the laptop battery should click into place. If the latch does not close, remove the battery and examine the compartment for signs of damage.5Troubleshoot the BIOS to determine if there is a hardware problem. Turn on the laptop and immediately enter BIOS setup by holding down the "Del" and "F1" or "F2" keys, depending on the make and model of the laptop. When the BIOS screen appears, see how long it takes for the battery to charge down. If the battery does not last as long as the BIOS setup, a hardware failure may be the problem.

Laptop will not power up

Try another Cord/Charger with the Exact same power specs. Remove and Test Memory and the HDD. If all is good, it may be a component on the motherboard that's failed.

White screen on startup

To check if the graphics chip is OK connect an external monitor to the video port on your laptop, power up the monitor first then boot up your laptop, if Windows appears on this monitor then the graphics chip on the motherboard is OK. The white screen indicates the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp is also OK. The fault is either a loose video connector that connects the video cable to the motherboard or the video ribbon cable is faulty. Try reseating the connector the video connector will either under the keyboard or under the plastic cover between the LCD screen and the keyboard.
