I am getting an error message that black cartridge

There may be debris that is blocking the communication between the cartridge and the printer. Remove the cartridge and unplug the printer from the power supply. Take a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and wipe off the contacts on the cartridge as well as the contacts inside of the printer. Allow both to dry for a few minutes before plugging the printer back in and re-installing the cartridge. This should clear up any miscommunication between the two.

Cannot find HP Printer Utility and need to clean

Hi There

Summary

Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

And if that not work

Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.

Ok.

There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

Well. In this printer there is a sensor for detecting papers. That is built in to Carriage which we put cartridges. This sensor may got durt or jumped out now. You can access it by opening the door, Then look at the right side of the carriage. You will find it, very closer to carriage moving rod. If it is already jumped out, you may see some copper lines with an empty connector.

Printer will not print.

the example is the instructions to print on envelope Print an Envelope in MS Word

  1. Open a MS Word document, click Tools, Letters and Mailings, and then Envelopes and Labels.
  2. Click the Envelope tab.
  3. Click Options and then Envelope Options tab.
  4. For Envelope size, use the drop-down menu to select Custom size. If Custom size is already selected, use the drop-down menu to reselect it. The Envelope Size window should appear.
  5. Change the Width to 7.5" and the Height to 3.75", and then click OK.
  6. Click the Printing Options tab.
  7. Under Feed method, select the 5th icon (envelope in the middle with the stamp towards the printer and to the left).
  8. Select Face Up. No check mark should be in Clockwise rotation.
  9. Under Feed from, select Default tray (Auto), and click OK.
  10. Click the OK button.
  11. On the Envelope tab, under Delivery address, type the address.
  12. If you need a return address, under Return address, type your return address.
  13. Click the Print button. The envelope should automatically be pulled through the printer.
NOTE: This change only needs to be performed once; not every time you print an envelope.
Now to make the normal printing by changing the normal settings try this
change the paper type to A4 in the print settings just by clicking on the A4 size option in the list.
click start then click on settings then click on printer and faxes.a page will pop up in that you will see your printer number listed.right click on that printer icon.as you right click some more options will get opened.in that you select the option -- properties-- as you click on properties you will see the --- paper available --- option.in that select the A4 size option.
its done.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
