Hi,As you said that you have already cleaned the print heads it could be the contacts inside the printer has gone bad. Its suggested by HP that if you get any error regarding the print head you should contact them and they will replace the printer. Please do so. Thanks.

My hp officejet 6500 flashes all its lights and tells me to turn it off and back on again.When I do this it just continues to flash and say the same thing.

FYI, you cannot reset the ink it self. If your using an HP refilled ink cartridge the warranty of your printer will be void. you need to contact HP right away to purchase new ink cartridges.
If the cartridge has been refilled or remanufactured, 'Low on Ink' or 'Ink Alert' messages may be inaccurate or display incorrectly.

Here's something you might want to try,It worked for me on several Hp printers.I would print the wireless config settings page.It would run the diagnostics program and would refresh the settings.It's worked on more than one model.Good-luck

It might be print head faulty.. perform nozzle clean & try. Replace print head unit..see the snap

Unplug the printer for at least overnight. I have 3 of these printers and all 3 have done this. All 3 came back after being unplugged for a long period.Personally, I think a class action suit might be in order.

Either you have a bad or empty ink cartridge, or a print head could be clogged. You can clean the heads with some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. Just don't get any alcohol on rubber parts you will dry out the rubber.

Follow the partial reset (3rd on video) and it will set your printer to factory defaults and let you set it up.
