How can I change the font on my all in one officejet 6500 printer

Try this one...Go to your printer properties (start> control panel> printers and other hardware>select that printer>PROPERTIES) and check each tab (if there are more than one) looking specifically to see if there is a check mark or the 'radio button' is selected on an option that says something like 'fit to one page', or 'fit to page', etc.An even quicker 'fix' would be to see if you have an option in the properties to reset all settings to default-- which would return any changes made to where they were when you first used the printer.***The font size coming through your printer as output is controlled by that particular software application you are using...If you need any technical help on printer then you can reach at..more

I cant print color

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Where is the refill hole

No inkjet cartridge has a refill hole. Why would the manufactuer want you to refill it. they want you to but new cartridges as thats how they make their money (not on the machine). You will need to drill a hole in the top of the cartridge and use a syringe to refill it.

I have a hp6500a plus,

Hi,

  • Make sure the cartridges are placed correctly in the slot
  • Run a finger along the top of the cartridges. Press down on any cartridges that you find sticking up. They should snap down into place.
  • Make sure the carraige latch is close (see Fig 1)
FIG 1

  • Turn on the printer and check
  • If still wont work follow the next step
  • Take out the cartridges and clean the electrical contacts (seeFig2)
FIG 2
shreysri_19.jpg 1 = Ink Window
2 = Electrical Contacts
  • Wipe the electrical contacts with a dry swab or lint-free cloth
  • On the inside of the product, locate the electrical contacts on the printhead. The electrical contacts look like a set of four copper or gold-colored pins positioned to coincide with the electrical contacts on the cartridge (see Fig 3)
FIG 3 - Print Carraige

  • Wipe the electrical contacts with a dry swab or lint-free cloth
  • Put the cartridges back and check
If the issue still persist, you need to replace the Print Head (the carraige). We would suggest to use orignal cartridges and check once. It could be the recycled cartridges have gone bad.

Regards,
Shrey

How do you turn off sleep mode on the HP OfficeJet...

This no doubt violated the warantee, but I got tired of turning the printer around and unplugging the power cord etc.

So I got a cord switch I had (Ace hardware 31089, others will not doubt work) and installed it in the power cord per directions.

Now it is easy to reach behind printer and cycle the power with the power cord switch and thus wake up the printer.

I have the hp6500 printer I put a new red cartridge in but when I do a clea cartridge it will not print the red. It seems like the print head is dried up. Is there such a product to clean the print he

Try removing the print head, run it under hot water for 2 mins, then let soak for 10 min. then used a can of compressed air to dry thoroughly. It may fix the blocked nozzles. A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

Ink streaks

Ink streaks are usually caused by a buildup of died in on the print heads. There are two print heads in that unit. Remove one at a time and look for build up - clean it if you find any. Once you finish cleaning both print heads you will need to do a print head cleaning routine in the HP software to clear out any in clogging the print nozzles.
