Is this a printer you just purchased or is it one that has sat around in storage?

You could take a clean damp cloth (lint free) and wipe the contacts on the cartridge to see if that helps or, if it were me, I'd call Lexmark and tell them to send you a new printer because the one you have, failed out of box.

First, you need to fnd a way to reset the memory from printer itself. so far there is no solution to reset its memory. Lenmark installed the memory counter so that company can scam consumers by selling expensive outrage ink cartridges.

Delete the printer icon, restart your workstation to see if the error is gone. If so, reinstall the printer driver and set up the printer for your wireless connection.

Reset once you printer again install drivers on computer again ... keep it disconnect from computer and from power coard for at leat 1 hr then first put on power coard and do as driver installer say to do so..thank you

You hadn't indicated that you have the installation software. If you have, just insert the CD and follow the instructions. They are pretty clear. The Wifi light is orange and then turns green when complete.

if printer not show any error message (and in ready mode) then place a art sheet in tray and print a page attend paper forcefully by hand to remove lost paper with this art sheet if printer show any error message like paper jam try to remove with open the front door

if you are using XP the the microsoft scanner may already be activated. look for the icon in the my computer window

install the lexmark driver package or software from scratch removing the old one first....get a newer version from their site...
vuepro32 is a fast and great program for scanning...
try it after the re-install i fixed and scanned over 40000 images with it all good

You have a problem with printer need to contact Lexmark your scanner is probably broken.

Try this:
- Uninstall everything about Lexmark.
- Delete every Lexmark entry in the Registry.
- Reboot your PC.
- Make sure not to connect the USB cable.
- You need to install the driver first before connecting the cable.
- Instal the driver, make sure your using the right driver. Check Lexmark.com for the latest driver.
- If this does not work, call lexmark.

If the power light is "pulsing" (blinking slowly), it's possible the printer is in sleep mode. Unplug the printer from the outlet and disconnect the power supply from the printer. Reconnect the power supply, plug the printer back in, and try again.

I am also be curious to know if you are able to make copies. This would at least assure you that the printer is functional. Are you are attempting to print from the computer where you installed the software? Sorry if this is really obvious to you--to some people it's not, especially over a network. All of the computers you're trying to print from need to have the right driver installed on them.

When it is installed on your wireless network, can you see it from a computer? Are you able to ping it? Does the printer make any noise at all? Do you have a firewall on the computer you're trying to print from that might not be allowing some of the processes to function normally?

Something else to try is 1) uninstall all of the software from the computer and 2) reset the printer to factory defaults. You can do that like this:

1. Turn off the printer. Make sure it is off and not in Power Saver mode (press and hold the power button for 2 seconds).
2. Press and hold the green circle button and the red x button at the same time, then press the power button and turn the printer on (while you're still holding he circle and the x buttons).

With no software installed and the printer back to factory defaults, try installation with the USB again. It's possible that it saved some weird setting that is confusing it.

If it won't even make copies, though, call the Lexmark help number. It could just be a bad unit if it does nothing at all.

when you look at the icon of the printer does it have a check mark on it or in the upper right hand corner of the icon? you can also make sure its the default printer by right clicking the icon and selecting "default printer" then try doing another print test.

Since fax machines are ANALOG they don't understand routing through a PBX. You need a dedicated ANALOG phone line not tied in with your PBX system.

Been trawling yet more help sites and came across the following link to a Lexmark Slowboot Fix. Click the link below, select the right fix for your printer from the three shown, and install, accepting the terms and conditions. When the resuIting program installs and is run, it opens a dos window and performs some changes to the print spooler. It has made my laptop boot up in about 3 mins, which when compared to the 17 that I was previously experiencing, is like rocket speed !! My printer now works perfectly without any of the jiggery-pokery, I suggested in my last post. Make sure you are booted up with all the Lexmark stuff installed and working, so go through a slow boot, before clicking the link below.
