MY PRINTER CARRIER IS JAMMED
Hello there
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.
That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.
So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

How to install ink
Here's a link to the Lexmark website to guide you on how to install/replace the cartridges on your Lexmark printer. http://bit.ly/cevMS4. The printer shown may not look exactly like your printer, however, the steps are the same. But, there are cases that the cartridge carrier doesn't move to the center when you lift the scanner unit. If that happens, unplug the printer from the power source. With the scanner unit lifted, hold the solid white tape you see inside the printer. The other end is connected to the ink cartridge carrier. Slowly drag the carrier to the center to remove the cartridges and install the new ones. Close the covers. Close the scanner unit. Plug printer back to power source. Let it print the alignment page to align the cartridges. Hope this helps.
My Lexmark X6650 printer yells
Effectively no, the printer cartridge has a microchip that tells the printer the liquid level, once this tells the printer that the cartridge is empty, the pinter will not use it. Generally the sensor chip is pretty accurate, but the only way I know to resolve is to replace the cartridges.
Can't cancel print from spool
Try forcing the spooler to stop and restart. In the command prompt (Start > All Programs > Accessories, right click and choose run as administrator with Vista and Win7)
Type "net stop spooler" <enter> without the quotes; on the next line type "net start spooler" <enter> again without the quotes. Once another prompt comes up, restart the computer.
I hope this helps.

(without the second command, the phrase "go get a cup of coffee after the reboot" becomes a part of the routine. These commands have worked since Win95.)
Printing application has stopped working
In order for you to correct this problem we need to uninstall and reinstall the printer software from your computer. You can uninstall the printer software from Control panel and then after that restart the computer and once its up you can simply run the setup disc that came with your printer to reinstall the printer software just follow the installation wizard. If you don't have the setup disc you can download it from lexmark web site.

ERROR MESSAGE AFTER INSTALLING MY LEXMARK X6650 PRINTER
Hi. That error pops up when you're using an installation cd that runs on Microsoft .Net Framework Version 2. Unfortunately, Windows 7 doesn't have that. Make sure you don't have the Lexmark installation cd in the computer. Eject the installation cd from the computer. Restart the computer and check if problem still persists. But if there's no cd in the computer and you have tried installing the software using the cd the first time, uninstall the Lexmark software by going to Start Menu > Programs > Lexmark 6600 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Reboot pc. Reinstall, this time, using the same installer you downloaded from the Lexmark website only. Don't use the installation cd. Hope this fixes your problem.

Hi there
There is a physical fuse inside the cartridge that blows when the cartridge is empty.
And yes Lexmark is ripping people off.
I myself been looking for any way to reset inks on the Lexmark but I have never found one sorry but this is how Lexmarks make them.

I keep getting the 'Left Cartridge Incorrect'
I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges
