Lexmark x6650 will not identify new cartridges
Please contact Lexmark Technical Support and let them know that you need two replacement cartridges for the two defective ones you have.
Make sure that you purchased factory new Lexmark cartridges, not cartridges that have been refilled and repackaged by a third party company.

OCR Software for Lexmark
You should be able to assign Abby FineReader 11 Pro as the OCR software in the Lexmark software (Lexmark Productivity Studio for Windows or All-in-One Center for the Mac OS). You will need this software though and to have the monitor running to "listen" for the scan button to be pressed. You will also need to ensure your firewall doesn't block communication if you connect the X6650 through the network.
In the Productivity Studio (launch Lexmark Home), click on the Settings tab and then the Scan Destinations option. Add Abby FineReader 11 Pro to the list of destinations. Click on that option and click on the Modify button to make sure that the Application button is set and is pointing to the correct program and correct file type. Then you can go back to the all-in-one and press the Scan button. Select Scan to Computer and then choose Refresh to update the list of destination programs.
I hope this helps. The steps may be slightly different in the Mac software.

Computer hangs during boot up after instlaling lexmark 6650 print
This is a problem I've seen with Dell PCs, what it is doing is trying
to boot from the card reader on the printer. My PC had this problem,
and a Dell BIOS upgrade fixed it. It would even try to boot from USB
keys or mp3 players I left in the USB slot! So I have a feeling you
have the same problem I had.
If you don't feel comfortable updating the BIOS, then contact Dell and maybe they can walk you through it.

My computer doesn't recognize my printer
It's possible that the problem is with the USB port on the printer. If you have a router, you can try to connect your printer using an ethernet cable so you won't have to configure your printer using a USB cable.
Once you have connected the printer using an ethernet cable, proceed with the installation in your computer and choose ethernet as the connection type. It should automatically find the printer on your network.

Why printer is making a clicking sound?
Hello. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug the printer from the power source. Plug the printer back to the power source. When it's still making the clicking sound, check inside of the printer for anything out of the ordinary inside it (loose strips, loose belt or springs, etc.). When you have any of these, call Lexmark. They may be able to send you a replacement. Hope your printer is still within warranty. Clear it from foreign objects. If not making any noise, re-insert the cartridges. If noise starts again, it may be caused by the cartridges not being seated properly. These are the troubleshooting steps you can do to determine what the problem is. If none of these resolves the problem. I advise you to call Lexmark. Hope I can assist you more with this. Good luck!
