X6650 paper jammed how do i remove it

If you lift the access door (the door that you lift to change the ink cartridges), you should be able to free the paper from there but be careful of damaging other components of the printer.

Hope this helps!

Lexmark x6650 don't scan using windows 7

Did you upgrade the Lexmark driver for Windows 7?
If you already installed the lexmark driver for windows 7, chances are you have not upgraded the utilities software like scanner, fax, OCR
If that is the case, go to this link:
http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=recommendedDownloads&locale=en&productCode=LEXMARK_X6650&segment=DOWNLOAD&userlocale=EN_US#1
First of all, read about Upgrade to Windows 7. by clicking on the link at the top of the page and follow the procedure.
You have to uninstall the Driver first, then OCR, Fax, Toolbar etc separately

Then come back to the previous page, Choose your op system as Microsoft windows7 and download the recommended file and install
as per instructions

Hope this will work for you
Good luck

LANGUAGE ON MY X6650 IS SET TO CHINESE. NEED TO

To do this, the machine will need to be reset, allowing you to choose the language and country on the initial setup menu. You will lose the current date, time and fax data:

1) With the power on, hold down the power button for approx. four seconds - the machine will power off

2) Press and HOLD the <Back> and <Start> buttons and press the power button - keep holding these two buttons for approx. twenty seconds, then release

3) The "Initial Setup" menu will appear - use the arrow keys to select the desired language

4) Press <OK>

5) The "Country Select" menu will appear - select your country from the list

6) Press <OK>

You may now reset the date, time and input your faxing information as required.

I hope this helps!

When i scan or copy there is a 3/4 inch black

If you are getting this result with the automatic document feeder then you should check the glass for any kind of debris that may be in way. The ADF glass should be a small strip to the left of the large plate glass. If not, or if the ADF glass is clear it is possible that particular section of the scanner has given up the ghost. Probably not worth repairing. Best off to buy a new machine. I would recommend staying away from Lexmark next time, they kill you on ink anyway.

Ip address wrong

Hi,
Solution Overview
This article explains how you can avoid having to run the Wireless Configuration Utility or Wireless Setup Assistant (Macintosh) after making changes to the router's security settings. The need to change these settings can arise if users forget their network key/passphrase or router web server password or if you have security concerns.
Printer response to security settings changes
The printer will respond with a flashing orange (pattlnk_6172008_1844-orgblksml.gif) Wi-Fi indicator light after the following actions are performed on the network or router/access point (AP):

  • -A change to the Service Set Identifier (SSID) or network name.

  • -A change to the security type (none, WEP, WPA, or WPA2 personal).

  • -A change to the security network key/passphrase.

  • -A hard reset of the router followed by entry of security values that are different from the original values.

  • -The printer is moved to a network (AP) that has different security values but already has installed drivers and created ports. NOTE: Port reconfiguration may be required in this case. Click here for instructions.

In order to rejoin (associate and authenticate) the wireless network (WLAN), the wireless client (printer) has to be reconfigured with the router's new SSID, security type, and network key. This requires connecting the USB configuration cable to the host computer and running the Wireless Configuration Utility or Wireless Setup Assistant to apply the new security settings on the printer's wireless network adapter.
Solution: Change the printer settings first
Change the security settings on the printer while it is still communicating on the network before making the changes on the router. Understand that this will cause a temporary change in the Wi-Fi indicator light from pattlnk_6172008_1952-tn_grnsolproof.jpg to pattlnk_6172008_1844-orgblksml.gif. After you have made equivalent changes on the router, the printer's Wi-Fi indicator light will return to pattlnk_6172008_1952-tn_grnsolproof.jpg.
Procedure: How to change security settings via the embedded web server
If you change your AP security settings frequently, this procedure is for you.

  1. Open your web browser application and enter the printer IP address into the web address field, i.e. http://ip_address.

  2. Click on Configuration.

  3. Click on Wireless.

  4. Enter the SSID, security type/encryption, and network key that will be used to configure the router.

  5. Click Submit.

your best bet is to uninstall and reinstall the software.
The OCR is the Optical Character Recognition program. If you scan a text document, OCR will convert your scanned image to a text format, which you could use in a word processing program.

It will not turn on

I have to ask.......
Power cord plugged in correctly?
Power coming out of the wall outlet? Try a lamp or radio to be sure.
Is the power adapter cord fully seated in the printer?
Can you chesk the power adapter with a mutimeter to be sure there is voltage at the printer end of the cord?
Sorry to ask such normal questions, just making sure.

You may also try this
Resetting to factory defaults
You can reset your printer to the original settings without using the printer menus. NOTE: Resetting to factory default settings will delete all the printer settings you have previously selected.

Step 1
Make sure the printer is not in Power Saver mode. Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn off the printer. If you have set the Power Saver timeout in the Setup menu, press and hold the power button according to the time you set in the menu.

Step 2
From the printer control panel, press and hold the green button and the red X, and then press the power button to turn the printer on. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_91204789c5bd4b93
