If your player is still functioning for music, than it doens't need to be formatted. the video file you are trying to transfer needs to be converted.
follow these instructions to ensure a working video file.
Video files must be .AMV formatted to work on this MP3 player.

Once you have the video files formatted to .AMV
- plug your MP3 player into the computer
- go to MY COMPUTER
- find your .AMV video
- Drag file to Scroll Bar on the left, hold the file over the GPX DEVICE
- two folers will appear under it. Put file into ALBUMS
To then access videos put onto the device.
Hold the MODE BUTTON on the side of your player until you return to the menu screen.
Scroll to MOVIES and your videos will be there.
To return to listening to music or looking at Pictures, hold the MODE BUTTON and simply select the according destination.
