PCV Valves ---NEVER need to be replaced

They can be cleaned every 3 to 5 years

They have NO effect on your engine performance

They only regulate crankcase pressure & fume
evacuation

Take it back,& clean your old one
On valve cover

I went to advance and auto zone to buy a pcv valve for my 2008 impala ss 5.3 and they said it didn't have one...google says it does...I'm confused...

The part stores are correct. The engine you are have includes a baffle device in the air intake and not a pcv valve. The valves for that model you can get are only for a racing modification.

1988 Lancer, 5 speed, 4G15 engine. Blow by hose fills the aircleaner with oil.\r\nHave replaced PVC valve, measured & honed bore, replaced rings, vacumed checked valves, replaced valve stem seals....

This problem is usually the result of worn rings but since you already did that, then check the passage that the PCV valve is connected to. It might be clogged, causing a restriction. If that isn't it, then drill a hole at least a quarter inch in size in the top of an old valve cover filler cap and install it. Drive the vehicle and see if things improve. If they do, then check to make sure that you have the correct PCV valve installed.

Have 2002 mits lancer, changed fuel pump only getting about 10 psi at fuel rail, cant find filter, could pump I bought from Napa be bad or is there a filter in tank unit

Many fuel problems are cause by a fuel pressure regulator. it is recommended that you change the regulator with the pump. It is also recommended that you use the original Mitsubishi pump(should be about the same price) so that the pump pressure is also correct. The fuel filter is at the intake of the fuel pump so only filtered gas enters the pump.

Oil leak near rear main seal? what is it

Oil leak can be attributed to several factors.
1. Gasket failure.
2. Uncontrolled Crank case pressure Failure.

RECOMENDATION:
Tighten both the valve cover and oil pan bolts.
Replace the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve and vacuum line.,

INFO: PCV
This is a valve causes a negative vacuum on the engine while its running, As to say if it had a leak in a valve cover it should not be leaking while its running, only when the engine it turned off.

Hope this tip guides you in the correct direction to solve this problem.

PCV Valve location

It should sit in your valve cover. On the passenger side (if I remember correctly). It should be right on your valve cover with a line that attaches to the top of it.

It is located at the back of the engine near the fire wall. It is gray with a T connector at the top with two hoses coming off of the T and going forward into the intake manifold.
