Where is the Engine Control Module located on Diesel 6.0 Ford F350 2006?

it is on side of block the size of a half dollar coin and sticks out about one inch to an inch and half

You need one but dont know where it is? what engine? under hood on the firewall under brake master cylinder. If its Diesel its above LF tire.

It should be located on the driverside fender well inside the engine compartment.

under dash fuse box, middle row, 8th fuse down. That fuse is also for:
Auxiliary Powertrain Control Module
(APCM) (Diesel only), Instrument Cluster,
GEM Module, Overdrive Cancel Switch, Idle
Validation Switch (Diesel only), Overhead
Console, Diesel PCM via Clutch

tragik nc: In looking this car up in both the 4 and 6 cyl configurations, Ford said that the ignition control module is no longer a separate component. It is actually integrated into the PCM (power control module)
This is located in the right rear corner of the engine compartment behind the power steering reservoir.

It does not have an ignition control module. The PCM (powertrain control module) fires the coil pack based on signal it recieves from the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor.

It sounds more like the glow plugs, the older models had trouble out of the module, but the 6.0 is pretty safe from all those problems. And don't forget to use the correct fuel additive for diesel engines, it helps .
