My 1999 nissan altima is just shutting off, all power is being lost and i traced it down to the main 100amp fuse, i replaced the fuse and it is still hapening so i am assuming the problem is in the main fuse box, is this true? if so do you have any hints on how to open the fuse box so i can look inside?

Check the fuses near the battery leads, the positive battery lead. There are fuses attached to the battery lead if I remember correctly mate..I think that will fix your issue.. cheers

My 2002 nissan altima 4 lost all inside power as well as break lights and flashers, and can not shift out of gear. i had a defroster plugged into the cigarette lighter port.

I would check the main fuse under the hood that feeds the power distribution center. The power point fuse should have burnt first, but that is what sounds like you lost.

2oo5 nissan altima high beems dont work new bulbs & fuses are new no power to the socket what next

U will need to trace out the wiring if there is no power to the socket. Is there power to the fuse that is in that circuit. If fuse has juice issue has to be past fuse. If nada then it is before the fuse.

Fuse box diagram for 1997 nissan altima

According to wikipedia, the 1st-generation Nissan Altima was offered from 1992-1997. We have a 1996 nissan altima and attached is a photo of the inside of our fuse box. I also found another page that gives the same info for the 1997. I am sure this diagram would work for the 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, or 1997 Nissan Altima.
