No connect plug for the brake light switch on my 1982 dodge d150

Not difficult it's part of your positive wires inbound to dash... It's easy to rewire just be patient and find where the wires go/where they come from... The white wires are hot aka positive but all others are color coordinated in I'd say 8-9 colors. Most wires change colors from the cab back or cab to engine compartment and some are a pain by going into old school 1 to 3 wire connections. If you can't find it still or its missing pieces look up a junk yard and grab another couple used pieces for it. Also look at your light switch, bright light switch or grounds to even your tail lights... Sometimes even a stray branch on a back road will rip a wire loose if it's old and brittle

Brake tail light strip on trunk is out. trouble shoot ? bulb on right side tail light is out. but can't find data on tail light strip of lights on trunk

Lets simply thing here. American Auto Manufacture use three wires set for it rear light assembly. One wire to the braking switch for both stop lights, one wire for the clearance light on both sides. Now if you look at the plug for taillight assemble there will three wires and didn't mention the third wire, it's ground. The two brake light uses one wire, then for on or clearance light uses one wire, and the ground uses one wire On old automobile normal the grounds any place on the body. But now the grounding points to make sure there isn't a faulty ground.

Turn signal light are a separate circuit as with the back up lights. I fairly sure your Caddy uses a Mylar strip with copper strips on it. Find were this copper strips are broken, scratch off the thin layer insulation and solder a jumper wire across the broken copper strip.

There will be a Central location where these light are tied together. Left brake light wire goes to the one wire from the brake switch under the dash, the right brake light goes to the same tied point to brake light switch under the dash. The Central wire point will be at one of the back lights. Just follow the colored wire. Now, each has two colors, one solid and one strip is colored with different colors. I hope this help you. Which wires are for back-up lights

remove the panel as if you were going to change the bulb. Look at the wire colors... they will be identical at the plug.
