Why is there no radio/CD player volume and no chimes?

Problem with the aerial, no signal being received? Did you clean the back window lately where the aerial is.

you can look for a radio shop to repair the cd player it would be cheaper to install a aftermarket radio they do have kits if you have steering wheel controls

check your wiring, make sure its not grounded behind the dash somewhere

Good news - they're adjustable. The radio is used to adjust the vehicle's chime level. To change the volume level of the chime, press and hold push-button 6 with the ignition on and the radio power off. The volume level will change from the normal level to loud, and LOUD will appear on the radio display. To change back to the default or normal setting, press and hold push-button 6 again. The volume level will change from the loud level to normal, and NORMAL will appear on the radio display.

Note: Each time the chime volume is changed, three chimes will sound to indicate the new volume selected.

Well they r probably right. I put an aftermarket stereo in my 03 and the harness alone was over $100. There is one thing u can try......key off, remove the radio fuse under the hood and turn the key on for 30 seconds.....then turn key off and reinstall the fuse.....then try ur cd player.....this works some of the time....if it continues, u will have to replace it or just get an ipod

Had the same problem with my 2004. Replaced the stock radio with a aftermarket pioneer unit. If you replace it make sure you by the aftermarket harness so it will plug right in and all your chimes will work.

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..

Sounds like the head unit is bad. If the truck is under warranty , get it back to the dealership.
