Check the back of the intake manifold...they are about 2-3" round, and silver in color.

check your mass airflow sensor,( located on the air intake line,probably close to where it hooks onto the front of the car on driver side ,should be a square box with wires plugged into it) take intake hose off and spray filiment wire with brake cleaner to clean,do not touch wire with tools or hands it will break very easily ,let dry and replace hose and see if that helps.

PCV valve would have nothing to do with it !

Check for blockages between the fuel tank, EVAP canister purge valve and engine intake manifold. Check obstructions in the EVAP canister purge valve diaphragm and ports.

The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. You must first remove the tank, then loosen the ring in the top of the tank where the wires to the fuel pump and sending unit enter. pull the assembly from the tank and the pump is mounted in this assembly.

the dpfe sensor is located at the back of the motor fastened to the upper intake manifold with 2 3/8" bolts,it has an electrical connector with 3 wires in it and 2 vacuum hoses that fasten to the underside of the sensor.I have also seen them same area but fasten to the firewall.the sensor is about 3" by 1/2-2"in size.

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. To test you will need a small bottle of propane. Usualy comes in a blue can and a nozzle to control the flow out of it. Start the car. Pop the hood. Locate your vacuum lines. Move the bottle around the lines, intake cleaner, intake manifold. Listen for the idle to smooth out. You will have located your vacuum leak.

first you have to diconnect throttle cable and trans kick down from throttle body. than disconnect wires and vacuum hoses and remove upper intake manifold plenum. that should give you access to valve covers . Remove bolts from covers and change gaskets. also replace the gasket on the upper intake plenum. install items in reverse order of removal. keep track of vacuum lines where the go when you remove . mark with tape their location.
