See if resetting your ECC (ECM) called the computer will get rid of these problems. You do it by unhooking both battery cables, waiting at least 15 minutes and rehooking the battery. No security thing, only the fact the computer needs new settings for the parts you installed.
You will need to retrieve the trouble code(s) stored in the computer and repair the problem associated with that code. You cab buy a tool for less than 70 dollars that will read and erase the code at a chain parts store. This is not a maintenance light or an oil change indicator. This light is part of the onboard diagnostics.Good luck!
Code P1698 means
* P1698 PCM Failure EEPROM Write Denied
* P1698 -No CCD messages from the Transmission or Body Control Module (TCM or BCM) Probably needs a new PCM (Aka computer or ECU)
The 1698 code means either that there is no digital data communication from the the transmission controller OR from the body controller that is being received at the powertrain control module. An analyzer that read "hex" codes would distinguish which, the former being a 60 the latter a 61 hex code.
no message received from the transmission control module. The bus system is the communication system the computers use to send information back and forth. Anything from a bad fuse, bad wire, or a faulty computer can cause that code.
off the top of my head I am not sure w\hat exactly that code is although I do now it sound familiar. Most code tat are p one codes are usually more of an electrical problem or even a sensor. For that code all I can say right now is possibly a speed sensor issue or wiring
